nader-artist25 June 2022This is a touching movie. I haven't been a fan of Amr Salama before, but he outdone himself in this one. Nice visuals and silky smooth storytelling. The film captured the 80s in rural Egypt very well, a subculture rarely discussed. Sometimes kids around Nour (the main character) look like NPCs and this could've been easily avoided. However it is still stunning work. We need more films like this one.

By far the best Arabic and Egyptian movie I've seen in the past 5 years at least.
The message the film wants to deliver is spot on and the approach used is just undeniably mind blowing. -
This movie is a masterpiece. Bare with me because this is one of the longest reviews I'll ever write. Every single detail is analyzed and done in the best way possible. I watched the movie already expecting it to be good because there isn't a bad Amr Salama movie, especially the ones he writes. I got mesmerized from the very second it started. The shots were beautiful (as usual). The introduction itself was very interesting. Not a single detail from the story wasn't included. It is so obvious to everyone that Amr Salama exerted crazy effort on the movie.
I cannot talk about Maged ElKedwany's performance because I'm simply speechless. He is the definition of ElSahl ElMomtane3. He is charismatic, powerful, and emotional. Which we all saw in his performance. I believe Amr Salama always adds to him as well as he adds to Amr too. - Ruby is an amazing actress. Throwback to Segn El Nesa when she surprised us with her talent. Which she also proved in Bara El Manhag. She was super natural. - Donia Maher the great. She was incredible. I love love her acting. - Ahmed Khaled Saleh is terrifying. Performance and character wise. This is the first time I see him in such a complex character. Ely khallef mamatsh :) I would've loved it if we knew more about his background though, but it wasn't an issue at all.
Last but not least, Omar Sherif. The star himself. The reckless, comical, and sensitive Nour. Amr Salama is a magician when it comes to kids. Other than the casting. He KNOWS how to get the best out of them. Omar is fascinating. The charisma is unreal. And the talent is surprising for a child his age. I'm so happy for him and I'm 100% he'll go places in the future :)
Overall it's a movie that we will never experience again. The amount of emotions put into it will make you cry. It's a one of a kind. I need Amr Salama to stop making movies because I don't know if I can love him anymore than that. -

I see the historic reference was perfect, it's all distorted stories, future should be emphasized and valued in comparison to the useless history.

Also I liked the way that they used the same actors in those scenes I was curious while watching the movie. I felt bored before the end of the film, espcialy while majed talking with nor, it was like a long conversation, and I skiped this the film is suitable for the whole family. Not has any bad parts nor and the children was so good and real, even the girl Looks bigger than Noor the casting is best fit for this film keep going amr salama I wish you more success.
Try always to make us watching wihout needs to skip this scene.
