  • What a piece of junk. This has no resemblance to a movie whatsoever. The characters are the most important part of storytelling. They are the life of a film. When you watch a film, you need to like some of the characters in the film. You should feel like you can relate to those characters. Here, the only feeling you have is "what the hell am I looking at?". The story does not make sense. The dialogues are ridiculous. The acting is far from convincing and the theme is BS. Save some time and do yourself a favor. Skip this one please. Please!
  • Staycation has much to admire. It's a classic couple drama, but manages to include humor and real emotion. The story is universal in a literary sense. Although the main characters are all Black, the story they are living touches all of us. It could just as easily apply to gay couples. We've all lived these things. Add to this a great soundtrack, excellent casting, acting and directing and you have a great experience in a normal 90 minute film. Watch it with your best friend, especially if that happens to be your spouse.
  • I believe that every couple who is considering marriage should watch this movie. I also, believe that every married couple who is experiencing marital difficulties should watch also. This movie would be a great resource for all marriage counselors to implement in their activities.

While my husband and I watched this movies we saw a lot of things that we can do to encourage one another and on how to be more supportive of each other. We discussed after watching this wonderful movie on how important it is to communicate with each other and on how it is important not to have walls up in a marriage. For it is true walls, keep others out but it also keeps the couple from reaching each other. I have watched this 5 times in two days!
