Not exactly navel-gazing, but merely belaboring the obvious, as writer-director Jonathan Morgan mildly makes fun of the cornball, regimented nature of porn content in this intentionally silly Kaylani Lei Wicked Pictures vehicle. Its humor is on about the same level as a dumb Troma movie.
Chris Cannon and Tommy Gunn are cynical screenwriters throwing around ideas for a new porn project, evidently for Wicked given that the screen is covered with posters and box covers for Wicked releases (e.g., "Harlequin" and "Kaylani Unleashed". Enter magnate Kyle Stone as their studio boss, unhappy with their lame scripts and unleashing Kaylani Lei herself to help them fashion a better script for her latest film, the results due that evening.
She comes up with very silly premises for scenes in what turns out to be a combination prehistoric cave woman picture, combined with an Old West scene and a modern scientific lab vignette. It's as stupid as any of the garbage Tommy & Chris usually conjure up, and Morgan films it with cheesy sets and crummy effects, clearly mocking not just the cliche but his current work as well.
Lei is beautiful and sexy throughout, but not enough to make up for the mediocrity presented. Morgan has proven himself to be creative in the comedy genre over the years, but is content with mindlessness this time.
A key sex role for a scientist having a threesome with Kaylani and Alektra Blue is omitted from the screen credits. Actor looked a bit like Chris Johnson but I couldn't make a positive ID.
