  • With a title like Girls Getaway Gone Wrong, you know you are not going to get something like Citizen Kane, but you are going to get a nice little thriller murder mystery. Nothing too heavy, it's along the line of a Hallmark or Lifetime movie which is fine. The acting is pretty good and the photography makes the movie watchable. I like the Tubi originals as they are usually pretty good. This is a paint by the numbers murder mystery with a few little twists and turns, nothing too cerebral, but the kind of movie you curl up on the lounge to watch with a bowl of popcorn. I did like the fact that I didn't guess who did it straight away. The movie wrapped up nicely as well. Don't expect anything too thrilling, just a solid little mystery.

This just another knockoff movie especially like the real girls trip movie that had Jada, Tiffany etc.....! Tubi movies seems like the new cable made azz movies! Plus it's always a typical black ppl vs white especially women & of course the white ones always like their better. This the first one & they did a second one, further let's me know that they seriously tryna embed this garbage in ppl mind or tv screen at that. This in the mode of a str8 2 dvd release the ones I used to sell, that's the main reason Roku & Fire stick was made to put us outta business just so they can make money instead!
  • Warning: Spoilers
Directed by Stacia Crawford from a script by Joyful Drake and Scotty Mullen, this movie has a familiar face or maybe I'm watching too many Tubi originals. Simone is played by Crystal Lee Naomi, who was Alicia in Twisted House Sitter.

She and her friends Parker (Brittany S. Hall) and Bailey (Tanisha Long) have decided to take a break and head out for a girl's only weekend for Parker's birthday. But as the title warns you, things aren't going to go well.

Soon they learn that one of their friends, Kate Alessa (Rebecca Galarza) has taken a header off of the balcony of the hotel. Parker had just been flirting with Kate's boyfriend, but then again, that man -- Antonio (Donny Boaz) -- is married to Elizabeth (Sunny Mabrey), the owner of the hotel. Oh man, this thing is complicated and it hasn't even started yet.

There's also a ton of social media one-upmanship, our heroic leads getting drugged and blamed for the crime and, of course, a late dramatic reveal of who the real killer is. If you like those Lifetime movies, good news. Tubi has you covered.

This is a Tubi exclusive. If you enjoy Hallmark or Lifetime films/thrillers, you'll like this. The film is about three friends who stay at a fancy hotel and meet a girl who ends up suspiciously falling to her death. The story has many more twists and turns but I'll stop from here as I don't want to reveal spoilers. I enjoyed this film.
  • Like one reviewer said it's a good homage to lifetime suspense movies. It had kind of like a hangover vibe at the beginning with the three best friends Simone, Parker, and bailee not knowing nothing after a night of partying.then it turned into a nice little feel good murder comedy drama thriller movie. Had the right balance of over the top rivalry drama and build up with a layer of comedy on top.i must add in a way I had some reality show vibes from it in a way like Kate and Simone competition for followers and sponsorship. Had like a little bit of bad girl club and love and hip hop and the real housewives vibe to it in my opinion as well.
  • 87 minutes of absolute crap. There is so much of it I don't know where to start or want to start. Just remembering the whole waste of a time movie makes me want to puke.

Where to start? All and by all I mean every single character in this codswallop were despisable. The main trio character who I guess were supposed to be the innocent heroes were just pathetic. There was a fashion designer, an aging broke influencer, and a chubby wife and mother who incidentally brought along with her some ecstasy pills which she proudly boasted had been given by the mommy meet up president (some good parents huh).

Then there was sleazy club owner Antonio and his wife Elizabeth played by Sunny Mabrey (I cannot understand for the life of me why Sunny accepted the part in this manure of a movie. I guess she must need the money desperately to keep her Hollywood lifestyle). Then there was the concierge David who seemed to also be a part time model and a pimp. Then there was Kate, the influencer and her two tailcoats. Oh and then there was the almost nonstop irritating background music. Tubi and MarVista just went out of their way to produce this waste of a time garbage.

There are only four reviews here and I am suspecting they were uploaded by individuals very close to the production team and crew, because either they posted reviews of another movie or I got it all wrong.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS ONE!
