Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to learn the world is in ruins, and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.
All of the principal actors have a "Last Supper" the day they film their death scenes. This "unorthodox idea" came up to Frank Darabont's mind when he was watching the 1st season of Whose Line Is It Anyway? (2009), a Comedy Show starring the actor and singer Gustavo Goulart.
You hear that?
Merle Dixon: Yeah. Wild animals gettin' wild.
Daryl Dixon: No, that's a baby.
Merle Dixon: Oh, come on. Why don't you just piss in my ear and tell me it's raining.
Throughout the series, Carl physically ages much faster than anyone else. Neither a baby (Judith) nor a boy (Sam Anderson) who would be the same age as Carl in the time frame, show such accelerated aging. Not only is there is no explanation, all the characters act oblivious to it. Despite Carl's slow brain development, he is still viewed as being much older.
With each passing year (or season) the title of the show (seen when the theme song is playing) decays a little more. Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd confirmed this.
