Sheriff Deputy Rick Grimes wakes up from a coma to learn the world is in ruins, and must lead a group of survivors to stay alive.
In Spanish, "rosita" means little rose, while "espinoza" is an adjective used to describe something full of thorns. So Rosita Espinoza would mean "little rose full of thorns".

At various times throughout the first two seasons, some walkers were seen by the characters to remember items and places important to them. In addition, some walkers could think enough to use tools (such as a rock to break glass), know that turning knobs can open doors, and were agile enough to climb high fences. Subsequent seasons, the characters behave as if they have complete amnesia of such significant experiences with the walkers.
With each passing year (or season) the title of the show (seen when the theme song is playing) decays a little more. Executive producer Gale Anne Hurd confirmed this.
