Every scene with Lamar had him smoking a pipe; however, it was always the same pipe. Dedicated pipe smokers have numerous pipes and rotate their use as they need about a week to recover from smoking, therefore they never smoke the same pipe day after day.
Some of the roadsigns shown in the background don't have actual place names on them but words used in the movie, like 'Chilloot Park' (from a line said by Dean Tainot), or 'Break even paradox' (from a line said by Larry Crowne during Economics 1).
