In the early morning hours while laying in bed together, Gary begs Celeste to call in sick to work. Despite his best efforts to seduce her to stay,
Celeste playfully resists his attempts. In an uncharacteristic display of vulnerability, Gary demands she compare him to her new boyfriend. Stung by
her answer, he takes it a step further and asks why then is she there, with him. While Celeste describes the undeniable emotional and physical bond
they share and Gary admits he loves the scent she leaves behind after each rendezvous, it is revealed that Celeste attempted to kill Gary only hours
earlier. He fights her off and has the chance to kill her instead, but can't, leading to this exact moment in bed. They make love again and
eventually Celeste kisses him goodbye. On his way out, Gary stops to relish the scent of her perfume on his pillow and silently, Celeste returns to
mournfully finish the job she went there to do.
