Andrea Mitchell fans have come to the longtime MSNBC reporter’s defense after Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly slammed her behavior as “unruly.” O’Reilly’s comment came after Mitchell shouted questions at Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during a photo op with Ukranian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkinon on Tuesday. Mitchell’s attempted to ask Tillerson about Chinese threats of retaliation for the anti-missile defenses in South Korea, but was shuffled out of the room. “Still no answers from Secretary of State Rex Tillerson,” she said on air during “Andrea Mitchell Reports” on Tuesday. Monday morning saw the first-ever appearance of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren and presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton tag-teaming it on the stump, and at least one journalist was impressed. Longtime NBC News correspondent and host of MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports Andrea Mitchell probably exploded a few conservative media watchdog heads when she introduced former White House adviser Anita Dunn by observing that " it did seem like magic on that stage."...

Ronan Farrow’s long awaited MSNBC debut pulled in soft ratings for the network on a day that saw three major cable news premieres and one big time slot shift. “Ronan Farrow Daily” drew 216,000 total viewers and 46,000 in the key adults 25 to 54 news demographic in its 1 p.m. Et debut Monday. Those numbers were down from the noon lead-in of NBC News reporter Kristen Welker filling in on “Andrea Mitchell Reports.” Also read: Ronan Farrow Wonks It Up on MSNBC Debut Joy Reid’s “The Reid Report,” which followed Farrow at 2 p.m. Et, averaged 262,000 total viewers but only 38,000...

On Monday, Assistant to the President and Director of Communications Jennifer Palmieri appeared on MSNBC with Andrea Mitchell Reports fill-in anchor Kristen Welker to discuss the White House’s latest delay of the Affordable Care Act’s mandate to purchase insurance. On Monday, the administration delayed the deadline to purchase insurance in order to receive coverage by January 1 from December 23 to December 24. Palmieri said, however, that it would be “dangerous” to consider the deadline to be moved to Christmas Eve.

It's still only December of 2013, but political speculation about the 2016 presidential race has been chugging along for months, with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton considered a lock to run for, and probably win, the Democratic nomination. On Monday's Andrea Mitchell Reports, MSNBC contributor and Time Magazine scribe Mark Halperin made one of the safest predictions ever when he told host Andrea Mitchell that "If Hillary Clinton doesn't run for president, I bet you John Kerry does."...

At a press conference Tuesday morning, FBI Special Agent In Charge Rick DesLauriers refused to discuss details about the devices used in Monday's bombings of the Boston Marathon, but that hasn't stopped someone close to the investigation from leaking the claim that the devices were made from pressure cookers, and carried in backpacks. On Tuesday afternoon's Andrea Mitchell Reports, NBC News Chief Justice Correspondent Pete Williams cited "authorities" when reporting that pressure cookers were used, and he and host Andrea Mitchell waxed geriatric about the largely-outmoded appliance.

Newly-anointed Gop superstar and prayer breakfast über-pwner Dr. Ben Carson offended many, and surprised none, when he made the familiar-for-conservatives comparison of gay people with "Nambla" and "people who believe in bestiality" earlier this week. On Friday's Andrea Mitchell Reports, Dr. Carson delivered a standard "sorry if you were offended" apology, and explained that he was really just comparing gay people to a variety of fruits, or something. Andrea Mitchell helpfully pointed out that peaches, bananas, and oranges are not characterized by criminal conduct.

Andrea Mitchell Reports On Newtown Shooter’s Extended Ammunition Magazines, And… Book On Asperger’s?
Not this again. The Connecticut State's Attorney's office has released new details about the horrific Dec. 14 mass shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown Connecticut, including hundreds of items seized from the home of the shooter and his mother, Nancy Lanza. With all of those items to choose from, Andrea Mitchell Reports host Andrea Mitchell chose to highlight three of them on her program Thursday afternoon: the nine 30-round magazines that police found, a gift card for the purchase of a firearm, and the book Look Me In The Eye: My Life With Asperger's.

Former NBA star Dennis Rodman has been taking a piñata-style beating over his visit to North Korea last week, and subsequent praise of dictator/friend for life Kim Jong Un. The overblown reaction reached Lovelace-ian proportions Tuesday afternoon, however, when Andrea Mitchell Reports host Andrea Mitchell asked Secretary of State John Kerry if Rodman's antics had "undercut" diplomatic pressure from the West. Kerry, not usually known for his brevity, took about five seconds to put the whole thing in perspective.

Politics can be a surreal business, as exemplified by Obama For America Deputy Campaign Manager Stephanie Cutter's appearance on MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell Reports Thursday afternoon. While Cutter gamely performed a rather routine media hit with host Andrea Mitchell, a rock 'n roll legend performed a few hundred feet behind her. While it was tough to hear Cutter over the strains of Jersey's own Bruce Springsteen, performing at a campaign event in Parma, Ohio today with former President Bill Clinton, you have to wonder what nearby concert attendees thought of the mash-up.

"Listen, I'm a veteran," Gov. McDonnell said, "and I fully agree. Americans ought to bind together, when we're attacked, we ought to join arms, Republican and Democrat."...

But, happily, her prognosis is "excellent," she said toward the end of the hour on Andrea Mitchell Reports on MSNBC.
