This is a funny video much like The Beasie-Boys video on Make Some Noise.

Also is was good to see Rebecca Black have some irony about her failure to make a hit song, even though it made it in to every corner in the world and made a few million dollars. But what is don't understand is why they made it look like a 80's high-school movie.

It has its flaws and its good parts, needless to say it was worth watching the five minute video. The music in the video is catchy but will most likely end up on fourteen years old girls MP3 players.

    Warning: Spoilers
Last Friday Night is a 7 minute movie embracing a catchy 4-minute ditty by candy-themed popstress Katy Perry who, on this occasion, embraces the alter ego of one Kathy Beth Terry, a bespectacled geek with train track braces who is made over by a friend prior to a party night of excess and debauchery (the subject of the song).

The song is tuneful, the lyrics amusing (though perhaps questionable in terms of Perry's undoubted role model status for impressionable teenage girls), and the film itself is bright, colourful, funny, and features a number of guest stars which is to small to be a host, but definitely more than several.
  • A fun music video featuring some awesome cameos. The OG Kenny G, the band Hanson, and miss "Friday" herself Rebecca Black. The only timeline flaw being that Katy shouldn't have woken up in the head brace, am I right?
  • Katy Perry is an utter delight in this exceptionally hilarious, brilliant video. With the charisma and charm that has made her one of the most dynamic concert performer of our time, Perry sets the screen on fire with her talent and brilliance. Cleverly produced, beautifully realized, and stunningly choreographed scenes follow one another like bolts of lightning as she sings and dances her way into our hearts. Her character in this video is arguably the most original and fresh teenage persona's ever created for any medium, bringing the spirit and fun of our young people to vivid life. Surprise cameos by some very familiar faces just add to the hilarity and inspired originality of the proceedings. A tremendously spectacular musical extravaganza that defines the modern state of the rock video and which is sure to be a worldwide super hit for generations to come.
  • I need to watch this movie so bad this is so awesome i love it so much really need to watch this movie please make a miracle

This 8-minute video is the birth of Kathy Beth Terry, Katy Perry's nerdy alter ego. I always preferred Perry over the likes of Aguilera, Lady Gaga, Rihanna etc. from her generation and the song in here is not bad either. Perry does an okay job with the acting, but sadly she is the only one, even if there are some trained actors in this cast. I am referring mostly to the kids from Glee here who add really nothing to this film apart from being in it. And Rebecca Black is downright embarrassing unfortunately in her scenes. Corey Feldman is in one scene as well, maybe the most prominent cast member. So yeah, worth a watch for fans of Katy Perry, but everybody else can just go for the song without the video.
