When Vortigern goes into Catia's room toward the end of the film, one of the birds in the background is clearly a Rose-Breasted Cockatoo (commonly known as a Galah), which is only found in Australia. While everything in this film suggests some fantastical locations around Europe, there is no indication that any character has even been to Australia, much less traveled to collect a bird as a pet.
The Warner Bros logo has runes on it.
