When Dr. Jane Foster gets cursed with a powerful entity known as the Aether, Thor is heralded of the cosmic event known as the Convergence and the genocidal Dark Elves.
(At around fifty-two minutes) As the man who asks Dr. Selvig for his shoe back, when Dr. Selvig is in the mental ward explaining the Convergence theory.
Long before the birth of light, there was darkness... and from that darkness came the Dark Elves. Millennia ago, the most ruthless of their kind, Malekith, sought to transform our universe back into one of eternal night. Such evil was possible ...
In battles throughout the film, multiple stone columns are destroyed without any collapse of the building above. Perhaps in Asgardian architecture these columns are merely decorative, but their support is definitely required at Greenwich Palace.
There's a scene during the credits where Sif and Volstagg take the Aether to the Collector, because with the Tesseract already on Asgard, it would be unwise to keep two Infinity Stones close together. After Sif and Volstagg leave, the Collector says, "One down...five to go."
