When the network of satellites designed to control the global climate starts to attack Earth, it's a race against the clock for its creator to uncover the real threat before a worldwide Geostorm wipes out everything and everyone.
A possible reboot of The Noah's Ark Principle (1984), a science fiction film about a weather-manipulating satellite directed by Roland Emmerich, who is Dean Devlin's collaborator on films including 2012 (2009), Universal Soldier (1992), and Stargate... ...
Why would you build a self destruct on this space station?
Jake Lawson: In case this space station fell back to earth
In the initial sequence, the satellites modify and control with missiles. When the geostorm is initiated, the satellites influence the weather using beams and energy waves of some sort, not projectiles.
Thunderclaps can be heard in the background of the opening Warner Bros. logo.
