  • An independent film in every sense of the word, Pincus is neither seamless nor polished but is all the better for it.

The narrative unfolds in a series of vignettes revolving around a main character yet it would be a mistake to call this a character-driven film. Although most would opt to spend only a short while with the main character, it's the supporting characters that give this film both richness and authenticity that is often lacking in slicker star-driven comedy dramas.

If you value the authentic in cinema, don't need your narrative in a nice tidy little soul-less package, and actually enjoy an irredeemable main character then Pincus is definitely for you. A lot of "ifs", I know, but I for one am truly thankful for this genuinely refreshing film.
