  • Amy goes with the guys to the comic book store though she's not impressed with the selection and thought Sheldon should pick a better hobby like frequenting an opium den or killing another human for sport. Shop proprietor Stuart sees Amy and wants to date her so he asks Leonard to see if Sheldon approves. When he hears of this, Sheldon condescendingly seems to not mind though it becomes obvious later on. I'll just stop there and just say how funny the whole thing was especially when Sheldon talks to Penny about it. Oh, and the discussion between Leonard, Howard, and Raj about a certain card game also gets some funny talks about how ridiculous certain developments are. So on that note, "The Flaming Spittoon Acquisition" is another very worthy ep of "The Big Bang Theory".

First of all there are a bunch of comic book store hijinks. Stuart makes a killing on some fantasy card games. He also meets Amy and is taken with her. He decides to get Sheldon's permission to ask her out. The meeting of the three of them in the movie theater is very funny. Stuart is a great character with his total lack of confidence and self deprecation. I also got a kick out of the kid who subs for him at the shop.

    Warning: Spoilers
This episode is one of the first big advancements in Sheldon and Amys relationship. This episode is well written and there's always a solid joke to laugh at. My favorite part is Leanord, Howard, and Raj getting sucked into the "Mystic Warlords of Ka'a" game against their better judgment and buying all the expansion packs.
  • I thoght that thsi was a great episode of the show.

I really like the slowly but surely development of the Sheldon and Amy relationship, and that we actually got to see Sheldon have a bit more of an emotional reaction. I know the creative powers that be liked to make out that this was an ensemble show, but look how fast they wrapped it up once Jim Parsons expressed a desire to move on...

The plot with the playing card game was good fun, and I'm really enjoying the way that the three female characters and their dynamic too.

Poor old Raj doesn't really get much of a look in really, but other than that this was a good episode indeed.
  • To be honest, Sheldon puts Leonard down so darn much, thus 2/10
