- TriviaAt the beginning of the hockey game, the hockey players agree to fight, saying, "You wanna go?" "Square up?" "Good luck." This is, almost word for word, taken from a November 2006 fight between George Laraque of the Phoenix Coyotes and Raitis Ivanans of the Los Angeles Kings. Laraque wore a wireless mic during the game, catching his famous overly-polite fight challenge.
- GoofsThe opening hockey game is played at Honda Center in Anaheim, California. The NHL Anaheim Ducks logo can be seen at center ice. Bobby Hatcher could not be recovering in the E.R. of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital in New Jersey.

The show got too cynical and mean spirited.
The Gregory House Character, used to be wise. He was blunt, and rude sometimes. But with selfless intentions, and never the bitter, immature and mean bully, he became afterwards. And maybe it was to prepare us for the « tearjerker » series finale. But this last season make him look bad. And ruin the few remaining episodes, that seem to be there, only to feature too convoluted and boring medical cases. That are actually very simple and dumb. Before the right amount of « buildup » is reached. And what buildup? Characters and dynamics I used to enjoy at first, are now completely destroyed. In favor of more simplified storylines, where the show becomes the shadow of its former self. In Gut Check, not only does the medical case, is dull. And the patient, too one dimensional, regardless of his emotional reactions. But the House character is insufferable, and the supporting roles, come across as his minions or his personal scapegoats. With the latter being too forgiving of his unacceptable « treatments ». It's safe to say, season 8 is the worst of the series for me. Thanks to the lazy writing and obnoxious, and/or plain characters. And a hospital that lacks life...
