  • Warning: Spoilers
Lady Gaga's music video for "Marry the Night", written by the musician herself, runs no shorter than 14 minutes. The music only starts at minute 4 and the singing at minute 9, so you could probably almost classify this more as a short film than an actual music video. Early on, we hear the artist reflecting randomly about her life. It all sounds artificial and pretentious how she starts rambling about clinical psychology. If her past is an unfinished painting, then this music video is one that has not even been started. Very weak effort. I actually liked her basic looks to see her for once without that exaggerated makeup, fashion choices etc. but then I saw her nails. Guess she is just too vain to completely disappear into character.

There is women running around in underwear playing insane asylum inmates I assume. Burning leather outfits, lounging around on cars and, last but not least, Miss Gaga naked in one scene and in another smudging and smearing herself with cornflakes. The artistic value which may have come with the ballet dancing scenes was destroyed quickly by everything I mentioned before. Glee fans may want to watch this for Jenna Ushkowitz, but everybody else can give it a pass. The song is fairly forgettable too.
