The above incident is not a valid "Goof". That changes made To sperm producing "Girl Posey" mattered, as Tim had already loved and "known" Posey. She had a history and personality that Tim was not willing to change. Tim visiting his father before the 3rd child's birth does not negate the reliance of that plot point, though. Toms last visit with his Dad takes place before #3's birth. As such there is no ingrained gender or personality for Tim to fear loosing. Yes, it could alter the baby, but not in any way noticeable to Tim.
