Three friends growing up in India at the turn of the millennium set out to open a training academy to produce the country's next cricket stars.
"Kai Po Che!" is a Gujarati phrase which means "I've cut the kite!," which a kite-flyer screams victoriously after cutting the rope of a kite of an adversary, mostly in a competition.
The movie is set during the years 2001-2002. The cast uses cellphones like Nokia 1100 and Nokia 1110, which were released in 2003 and 2005 respectively.
