On Thursday, a Manhattan grand jury indicted Donald Trump in connection to hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election, making him the first former president ever to be charged with a crime.
While the former president released a statement and called it “political persecution,” Jimmy Fallon responded to the news by remixing Trump into a fun parody of The Pointer Sisters 1982 hit “I’m So Excited,” called “I’m So Indicted.”
If you’re unable to listen, the lyrics are:
“I’m so indicted, and I just can’t hide it. I’m about to go to jail, and I don’t like it.
I’m so indicted, and I just can’t hide it. I know. I know. I know. I know. I am so screwed.”

Oscar nominees Penélope Cruz and Antonio Banderas transform into film industry caricatures for the latest comedy from Argentinian directing duo Gaston Duprat and Mariano Cohn, “Official Competition.” Check out the outrageous trailer for the film below.
“Official Competition” stars Cruz as a renowned filmmaker hired by a billionaire entrepreneur (José Luis Goméz) to create the movie of the century. Banderas is the Hollywood heartthrob set to star in the fictional feature, along with a radical theater actor played by Oscar Martinez. The legendary nemeses sling jabs at one another over who is a bigger sellout for money, all while Cruz is trying to teach them both how to really act. Something strange happened to Penélope Cruz as she rehearsed on the set of “Parallel Mothers.” Whenever the crew would come to collect the doll she was using as a stand-in for a flesh-and-blood baby, Cruz tensed up. She became combative. It didn’t matter that it was only a toy — she refused to surrender her child.
“It freaked me out,” remembers Cruz. “When the prop department would take the doll, I went psycho. It was my baby. I felt something deep in myself that was like if you take the fucking doll from me, I’m going to hit you.”
That primal instinct and protective flame would serve Cruz well when it came to putting “Parallel Mothers,” the story of two women whose children are switched at birth, on the screen. Pedro Almodóvar is back in fine form with his latest melodrama, “Parallel Mothers,” which stars his muse Penélope Cruz and breakout Milena Smit as a magazine photographer and a teenager whose newborns are switched at birth. In the movie, which is the closing night selection of the New York Film Festival, Cruz found herself reuniting with her longtime director, while Smit landed in the film as a discovery off Instagram. But according to Cruz at the New York Film Festival press conference on Friday morning, “Parallel Mothers” is actually a long-gestating film, as its genesis dates back more than 20 years ago, from around the days of 1999’s Oscar-winning “All About My Mother.”
“The first time he shared with me something about this story, we were here in New York, and doing press for ‘All About My Mother,'” said Cruz, who in the film forms a fascinating bond, via an erotic twist,...

Season 6 of “The Masked Singer” is shaping up to be the most competitive to date. It kicked off last week with a double-header showcasing the seven stars in Group A. Three of them have already been sent packing: Octopus (Dwight Howard), Mother Nature (Vivica A. Fox) and Pufferfish (Toni Braxton). This week it is Group B that is in the spotlight. Six celebrities are contending disguised as Banana Split (a pairing), Cupcake, Dalmatian, Mallard and Queen of Hearts.

Five years ago, Gaston Duprat and Mariano Cohn’s “The Distinguished Citizen” premiered at the Venice Film Festival. It was one of the sharpest and funniest comedy-dramas of the year, and its star, Oscar Martinez, won the Festival’s acting prize, the Cuppa Volpi. But it didn’t get much of a release in English-speaking countries. The follow-up from the Argentinian directing team, “Official Competition” is more likely to be seen by audiences around the world. Martinez has one of the lead roles again, but this time he is acting opposite two of Spain’s — and the world’s — most glamorous superstars, Penélope Cruz and Antonio Banderas.
Astoundingly, despite being Almodóvar regulars, Cruz and Banderas have never done any substantial acting together. They had a brief joint scene in Almodóvar’s “I’m So Excited,” and in “Pain and Glory,” Cruz played the mother of Banderas’ character in his boyhood flashbacks.

Penelope Cruz, Antonio Banderas Comedy ‘Official Competition’ Drops First Teaser Trailer (Exclusive)
Penelope Cruz and Antonio Banderas are Spain’s biggest Hollywood names, and Pedro Almodovar’s most frequent stars, but – extraordinary as it may seem – to date, they’ve had just two minutes on screen together, in the opening scene of 2013’s “I’m So Excited.”
In comedy “Official Competition,” a frontrunner for Venice selection next Monday, they get to share the screen for the whole of the film. If a teaser trailer, released Thursday, is anything to go by, however, for their characters at least it doesn’t look like a comfortable experience at all.

A big news item this week is that charges have been filed against the Trump organization and the company’s CEO. But on Thursday’s “The Late Show,” Stephen Colbert reminded viewers that in all likelihood, Donald Trump won’t be affected by this at all. Luckily, he did it with a parody of a classic song by The Pointer Sisters that definitely offset the bad news with fun.
So, to catch you up, the Trump Organization — the company owned by the disgraced former president — and it’s longtime CFO Allen Weisselberg were charged on Thursday with15 felony counts for tax evasion. However, Trump’s attorney Ron Fischetti told Politico earlier this week that prosecutors have said charges won’t be filed against Trump himself just yet.
And in the cold open gag for “The Late Show,” Colbert made the case that probably, that never will happen.

Increasing the show’s appeal is an impressive and now expanded cast of Spanish and Caribbean talent including Susana Abaitua, Sandy Hernández (“On the Block”), Guillermo Toledo (“I’m so Excited”) and Alberto Garcia (“Che”).
It was first announced in late 2019 as a Buena Vista Original Productions title produced with Bossi’s Pampa Films (“Chinese Takeaway”). It follows on their highly successful collaboration on “Monzón,” which raised the bar on production standards in Latin America.

It’s All Right: ‘Saved by the Bell’ Cast, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots Remix Show’s Theme Song (Video)
The “Saved by the Bell” cast, Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen, Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley, Jimmy Fallon and The Roots just remixed the show’s classic theme song.
The “Tonight Show” version all starts out normal enough, just with Fallon and Thiessen on the vocals. And then the record scratched.
That’s when Tariq Trotter of The Roots — a.k.a. Black Thought — changed it all up, spitting: “Early ’90s NBC/2020 streaming on Peacock/Pete Engel, show creator/Jessie, Kelly, Zack…”
“A.C. Slater,” Lopez interrupted, himself rapping (decently). “The Preppy hater/The Jessie Spano dater/Life is greater when we’re reunited…”
That was Berkley’s cue to cut in with her “I’m So Excited” gag.
Watch the video above.

Saved by the Bell‘s Season 1 finale serves up more questions than it does answers. For instance, was Tori Scott just a fever dream? A figment of Zack Morris’ heightened imagination used to fill the void when Kelly Kapowski and Jessie Spano disappeared for large swaths of senior year?
The Peacock revival references Leanna Creel’s leather jacket-clad character, who appeared in a grand total of 10 episodes throughout the original series’ final season, only never to be seen or heard from again. The namedrop comes just minutes into Episode 10, as Mac fills his parents in on the PTA’s efforts...

The “Dancing with the Stars” finale is here, and no matter who wins, the Mvp will definitely be Nelly.
As previously announced, the rapper will perform a medley of his greatest hits in addition to, you know, competing for the Mirrorball. On the docket are his classics “Ride Wit Me” and “Hot in Herre,” and his latest single “Lil Bit” with Florida Georgia Line. Let’s hope “Dilemma” makes it so we can all roast him and Kelly Rowland for texting via Microsoft Excel again. Never gets old. Daniella Karagach and her hubby, Pasha Pashkov, will dance while Nelly performs, so they can totally reenact this Excel extravaganza.
The final four couples will perform two numbers: a repeat of their favorite dance of the season and the freestyle. Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nev Schulman are redoing dances for which they received 30s, so there’s nowhere to go but down. But...

A new trailer for Peacock’s Saved by the Bell revival landed earlier this week. It provides a broader look at the Bayside universe circa 2020, where A.C. Slater (Mario Lopez) is the gym teacher, Jessie Spano (Elizabeth Berkley) is the mother of the football team captain, Max (Ed Alonzo) is still running everyone’s favorite diner, and a whole new generation of kids are causing trouble. It doesn’t show Gov. Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) or California First Lady Kelly Kapowski (Tiffani Amber Thiessen), but they will be on...

There once was a simpler time when preppies and jocks could hang with nerds, caffeine pills were the most dangerous drug on the market, and the high school principal was a totally uncreepy Bff goof in the cool kid clique. Those days of course only existed on the ‘80s/’90s kids sitcom relic, Saved by the Bell. But they’re about to live again in 2020’s Saved by the Bell reboot!
Scheduled to premiere on NBCUniversal’s new streaming service Peacock later this year, Saved by the Bell is the modern retelling of the fast times of life at Bayside High School, a trendy institution for the wealthy kids of the Pacific Pallisades, although this time it will be told from the point-of-view of several low-income students who are being transferred to the preppy locale. It also is set to feature the original series’ stars Mario Lopez as A.C.

After earning mixed reviews for last effort "I'm So Excited" (Los Amantes Pasajeros), which was a departure from emotional dramas and into more the satirical territory, Spanish master Pedro Almodovar seems to be back to dealing with family secrets between mothers and daughters in his upcoming feature "Julieta" (formerly known as "Silencio").
The film, which will open in Spanish cinemas on April 8, tells the story of Julieta, a woman who is losing grip on her life and whose best years with her daughter seem to be behind her. "Julieta" stars Emma Suárez, Adriana Ugarte, Darío Grandinetti, Rossy de Palma, and Michelle Jenner.
While there is no U.S. release day yet, Sony Pictures Classics has acquired rights to distribute the film stateside as it has been the case with Almodovar last eight films.
Take a look at the new Spanish trailer below (which does have English-subtitles).

Tokyo, Oct 10 (Ians/Efe) The 10th edition of Japan's Latin Beat Film Festival began here with a screening of "Los amantes pasajeros" (I'm So Excited), the latest from acclaimed Spanish director Pedro Almodovar.
Twenty films in all will be shown in Tokyo over the course of a week before a scaled-down version of the event takes to the road for stints in Kyoto and Yokohoma before concluding Nov 10 in Osaka.
Highlights of the Tokyo phase of the festival include Pablo Berger's "Blancanieves", Brazilian animated film "Rio 2096" and "No", a political drama from Chile.
"It's like a metaphor: just as in Almodovar's film, in which the plane travels to Mexico, it's the time to look toward Latin America. There, interesting things.

I don't think anyone was worried about Megan Hilty's future when NBC canceled Smash after two seasons. It simply remained to be seen which show would be smart enough to snatch her up.
Turns out Hilty didn't have to go far for her next gig, which is doubly-infused with Smash DNA since she's sticking with the Peacock for Sean Saves The World, a new sitcom co-starring Sean Hayes, who made a lasting impression on Smash fans with his manic season two guest spot.
ETonline caught up with Hilty at July's The Television Critics Association Press Tour to talk about her second TCA in under a year, learn that comedy is more her speed and reflect on the tumultuous experience that was Smash.
ETonline: You were at TCA in January to promote Smash and now you're here with a new show. Is it a strange experience to be promoting a second show in less than a year...

I'm so excited to present Tristan Risk in this mini ''Boo Tube' interview for MoreHorror.com (watch the mini interview below the details).
We discuss burlesque, future projects and of course her (shoulda won an Oscar) performance in the instant cult classic American Mary (review).
Tristan blew me away with her outstanding role as Beatress Johnson, a Betty Boop look-a-like, in American Mary but she really stole my heart when Twisted Twins, Jen and Sylvia Soska introduced me to this ball of talent at a party the night before we filmed this little video. From the second you meet her you just want to squeeze her she's so cute!
Just before we started filming I asked Tristan if she could talk like Beatress the entire interview. Not only did she jump right into character but she was excited to do so, as if...

Fans may have been wondering why Anna Trebunskaya was left out of this season's "Dancing with the Stars," but there's good reason for her absence.
According to her rep, the reality star is four months pregnant with her first child, though the father of the child is still under wraps.
Last October, the 32-year-old dancer divorced her husband of nine years, fellow "DWTS" pro Jonathan Roberts.
Linking an article with the happy announcement, on Wednesday (September 4), Anna tweeted, "I'm so excited to share this news with you!!!Thank you for all of your support!"...

Hannibal – Series 1 Blu-ray review
Show
Hannibal is one of the unexpected recent highlights of U.S. TV crime drama. Inspired by Thomas Harris’ series of novels featuring the urbane maniac Hannibal Lector, the show reinvigorates a tired brand in a wholly enthralling way – and in a manner that’s not for the squeamish.
Hannibal is actually a prequel to the first Harris book to feature Lector, Red Dragon. Will Graham (Hugh Dancy), an almost supernaturally gifted but psychologically fragile profiler and instructor at the FBI’s Quantico training facility, is drafted by Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne), head of the Behavioural Science Unit, to assist with difficult cases. Crawford is well aware of the danger he exposes Graham to by asking him to immerse himself in the minds of killers, so he enlists the assistance of psychiatrist Hannibal Lector (Mads Mikkelson) to monitor Graham’s mental state...

Ben Stiller's upcoming film, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty, looks so freakin' good. I love the trailer that was released. It definitely made my list of favorite trailers. Above you'll find a new poster for the film that features Stiller running through the air. Everything about this film sparks the imagination, and that's why I'm so excited about it.
James Thurber's classic story of a day-dreamer who escapes his anonymous life by disappearing into a world of fantasies filled with heroism, romance and action. When his job along with that of his co-worker (Kristen Wiig) are threatened, Walter takes action in the real world embarking on a global journey that turns into an adventure more extraordinary than anything he could have ever imagined.
The movie comes out on December 25th, 2013.

Travis Wall was a fan-favorite during season two (and that year's runner-up) of So You Think You Can Dance, but it wasn't until he began choreographing for the show that fans truly began to understand the depths of his talent. In the same instant that Jason caught Jeanine as she spiraled through the air, Travis snatched our hearts and hasn't stopped putting them through an emotional two-minute wringer for the last five seasons.
As a result of his groundbreaking work, Wall has earned three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Choreography, and this year, all the nominees in his category -- Derek Hough & Allison Holker, Warren Carlyle, Sonya Tayeh, Mandy Moore and Napoleon Dumo & Tabitha Dumo -- will combine their tremendous gifts to create a routine for the Emmy stage! I caught up with Wall to talk about his accomplishments on the current Sytycd season and find out what it means to be an Emmy nominee!
ETonline: Congratulations...
