  • Warning: Spoilers
The movie takes place in Venice Beach, 1990. Ray (Trevor Morgan) has recently graduated from film school and befriends Oliver Fox (Elias Brett) on the beach. Oliver introduces him to his family of brothers who we saw in the opening scene robbing a night club. Through circumstances, Ray becomes part of crime family at a time when their numbers are diminishing. The last scene lacks closure as if this was going to become a series or is a pilot film or they ran out of money to film.

This is a low budget film and all the action scenes are cut. They set a car on fire, but we never see a single flame. The robberies are incomplete. In spite of the action promising DVD cover, this was more drama and not the best crime drama either. Writer/ Director Cole Mueller has made a similar film called "Green Guys" with some of the same cast. I would assume if you saw that film, you would feel the same about this one.

For me this film was slow. The characters were real enough and at times so real they were boring. Perhaps a dark comical moment was when one of the characters wants to go straight while his girlfriend insists otherwise.

Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity.

Struggled to gain interest in the first 20 minutes of the film which reminded me of a child trying to tell a story. Had to stop after it became obvious there was no way the film would start improving. Very slow paced and unoriginal movie. I'd rather see a MASH rerun on loop for 81 minutes than watch this in its entirety.
  • That is a good film, good enough for me to do my first IMDb review. The suspense was throughout the film. As a crime story, I have seen a new TV show that has a similar theme. Buy the way that this film entertained, I would prefer to watch the film. The acting in the film was generally good. All of the actors had something. I especially like the biggest of the brothers. He could play the big jock all day and make it seem real. He was not just dumb muscle, he also showed emotion and intelligence. All in all, I would highly recommend this film to any film lover.

I would give it a nine out of ten. 9/10
