  • Don't get me wrong people can have opinions and all but out of ALL of the hub shows I have heard of, it hurts to see this show get criticised the most and got probably the shortest end of the stick. But for all of those haters and people who overreact to EVERYTHING, here is what I think.

    1. The animation. The animation of course is one of the things in the show I am NOT a huge fan of. It's sort of choppy at times and there are a few scenes where the animation has some errors and some weird angles. Now in order to explain the positives of the animation without triggering a wave of crazy 14 year olds I'm gonna have to bring in another show into the mix. Kuu Kuu Harajuku. Both TFD and KKH have similar styles of animation. They both have flash of course so there is that. But there are still some differences. For example, THE EMOTION. In Kuu Kuu Harajuku the characters lack a lot of facial expressions, but with TFD, there are a few scenes where the characters have some funny facial expressions and some faces too. Another difference I want to bring up is the movement. Most of Kuu Kuu Harajuku's episodes feature some lack-luster movements that feel slow or static, but in TFD, a few episodes of the series have more movement and feel a little more smooth (My Cousin Myron is one example).

    2. Characters and personality. These characters oh my god I CANNOT get over them. I'm sort of happy with the approach the show decided to go with. They didn't force in TONS of stereotypes, and some of the characters I actually feel bad for at times, even the ones that viewers should not be sympathising with. I also like the personality of a few of the characters and why they are like that. Also I love the designs of the characters even if a few of them look like Disney knock offs.

    3. The story. To be honest, I love this plot. It's like a mix of Monster High and Shrek. It features a fairytale world mixed in with modern society. (Keep in mind I didn't decide to reference Ever After High for the plot. This is because TFD was accused of being a rip off of the series, which it was NEVER.) It's not much but in my opinion it's quite wholesome. Also I like the references to Fairytales and other literature in the show. It gives off the vibe and feel to the show.

So in conclusion, I like this show, and if you have a problem with that write your own review I really don't care.
  • Now I have nothing against these types of shows were they try to have small things in life big adventures but this show is so abysmal and poor that it hurts. First off the animation is horrible! all the characters look extremely ugly and some of them resemble really offensive racial caricatures, people complain about Klasky Csupo looking bad well take a look here. At least Klasky had a style and looked good for the most part. Another thing I notice is the movement as the characters move like they have some sort of disability that makes them movie like characters in those horrible direct to video bootlegs. Now I can get past bad animation as long as the writing and acting is good sadly For Teenage Fairytale Dropouts the writing and acting is horrible. I'll start with acting as I swear NONE of these people can act! All of the actors especially for the two main boys and mother goose are completely bland and bored with mother goose being the worst as she also sometimes bulling the main trio for no reason. Some of these characters are even unsympathetic randomly like the character Trifogar who sometimes becomes Bitter of his friends. Now for the writing which ohhh boringly bad. All of the characters are bland or are so stereotyped it hurts. However the humor in this show is the biggest gripe. The show is not funny at all. The jokes are told with such bland delivery that it makes them not funny or they are extremely forced such as one scene where Mother Goose get mad at the trio for doing something that upsets her. The pacing is undesirably slow with many pointless scenes, slow delivery and slow animation that it makes a 11 minute episode feel like half an hour. Now after all of that are there any positives? Yes, the music is quite nice with a rock soundtrack that sounds nice and does not succumb to the cliché people vocalize instruments like with Mega Babies. Yes I know this is intended for kids but I always say the same point I have made with Tak and The Power of Juju. Why bother when you have Pixar,Disney, Dreamworks, Studio Ghibli and more? As for this why bother when you have shows like Space Goofs, Fix and Foxi, Pac-Man and The Ghostly Adventures and other shows that make little things in life BIG ADVENTURES! I also hear people compare this to The Problem Solverz...no Problem Solverz is funny, witty, clever and has great writing and characters! This is the complete opposite!
