An adaptation of the fairy tale about a monstrous-looking prince and a young woman who fall in love.
Production Designer Sarah Greenwood based the town of Villeneuve on the French village of Conques in Southern France.
Once upon a time, in the hidden heart of France, a handsome young prince lived in a beautiful castle. Although he had everything his heart desired, the prince was selfish and unkind.

At 9m15s the Triplets (played by Rafaëlle Cohen, Sophie Reid and Carla Nella) get splashed with dirt by Gastons horse. At 9m54s they can be seen trying on wigs, their dresses clean.
Part of the closing credits is a "curtain call" sequence that features the cast (appearing in poses) and crew (their credit with an image relating to their respective job). The sequence is framed with shots of the Beast's castle at sunset, and ends with a zoom shot of the Beast and the enchanted objects posing at the castle's entrance.
