  • Though I knew this was a short film going into it, I became almost angry coming out of it that there was nothing more to see. Almost 5 minutes, then, boom! Roll credits. I wanted a feature length film! For reference, I did not read any reviews, or look at the description before jumping in to watch. Honestly, I'm sad you might have watched the trailer or plot summary by this point. If you haven't, don't! Just go watch the film immediately THEN, read the reviews. The experience will be exponentially better.

The cinematography and the carefully timed horror/thriller music draws you into being captivated within seconds. Seemingly monotonous movements of the actress in the first minute of the film become well placed foreshadowing in the next moment. The way the plot is constructed takes you through all of the emotions you get in any great horror movie. The normal routine, the strange occurrence happening, the realization of what the truth is and the horror experienced.

The only critique I could possibly have is to have more of a horrific impact with the make up effects.

This short film is definitely a must-watch and HAS to be seen from beginning to end. This is not a short film for the distracted viewer, as you do NOT want to blink for fear of missing a second of it.

And like any good film, you definitely have to watch it twice. After this review, I'm definitely hitting the replay button, and sharing it with my fellow horror-movie-loving friends.

Omg, This is a good short film! The story is stunning. The way it explores the theme of abusing your partner and living in the elusion of excises like "he's being protective" is very thoughtful and well done . The performances by the actors are excellent, and the emotional depth they projected to their characters is very impressive.

I think Strategies to promote healthy, respectful, and nonviolent relationships are an important part of prevention. Programs that teach young people healthy relationship skills such as communication, effectively managing feelings, and problem-solving can prevent violence.
  • A total thriller! Constant, when you see it the first time... the weather is so bad all the time! It's great! And the girl's acting is great! Very natural, she has a lot of talent, this is my favorite genre and I hope she can fulfill my expectations. Besides the horror scenes are very elaborate, well done, even though it is a low budget production there is nothing to envy to the big super producers. They are doing super well... Keep it up! I had to see it a second time, I liked it a lot and I hope to share it with my friends who share this taste for suspense and horror films because I know that your review is the best! Very objective, I hope the continuity of this project! Success and keep going forward!
  • Might be the best short film I've ever seen. Congratulations on a really well made video. I would definitely recommend everyone to watch it. The actors play very professionally. The story written is very meaningful. I want to watch as I watch. Normally, short films don't interest me much, but watching this short film got me very excited. You may encounter a lot of surprises. It was a short film that we had to learn excellent lessons from. I followed it on the recommendation of a friend and I never regretted it. I would definitely recommend people who like these tour movies to watch it. It is obvious that this short film has been prepared with a lot of effort.
  • This short film is the best. The acting of every character is awesome. The visuals are incredibly stunning, enticing viewers into a world of contemplation and self-discovery. I was completely absorbed from beginning to end, and the central theme of reflection resonated deeply with me. The cinematography and attention to detail were outstanding, creating a visually stunning experience. I applaud the talented cast and crew for their exceptional work bringing this thought-provoking story to life. The emotions of the actors are so realistic, and you can't help feeling the same way as they do. This video was also exciting and kept me watching throughout! Thank you.
  • The acting combined with intense cinematography makes this film positively gripping. The Reflection has the pace of both a good mystery and a supernatural film yet leads to a subject both heartbreaking and relevant. The soundtrack adds to the suspense. Particularly intense is the phone call in which Megan Taylor describes her trust and her love for her partner who turns out to be narcissistic and abusive. The scene where she is staring into the mirror with both confidence and a bit of swagger turning into concern and then almost panic like doubt is particularly riveting. It leads to a boiling and gut wrenching conclusion. The movie addresses a huge issue in society in a tumultuous display that embraces the justice in all of us.

What an amazing short film. I'd love to see what happens next.it felt so real I could feel the emotions the actors were putting out. Eventhough it's a bit scary I'm really intrigued about what will happen next.it love that the film is so much about the things that are affecting today's generation in marriage. The video quality, lighting, cinematography and editing of this five minutes film is just amazing. In my opinion this sounds like the actress is stuck in an abusive relationship that her good friend is trying to talk her out of but she is very hopeful that her husband will change. Eagerly waiting to see what happens next.

"The Reflection" is a captivating and thought-provoking short film that delves into the mind of a young girl and explores the intricate nuances of her fears. With its mesmerizing visuals, evocative storytelling, and powerful performances, this film takes viewers on an introspective journey that lingers long after the credits roll.

Directed by a promising newcomer, "The Reflection" skillfully weaves together the girl's internal struggles with the external world around her. The film's visual style is a stunning blend of dreamlike sequences and stark realities, effectively reflecting the protagonist's state of mind. Her portrayal captures the essence of fear in all its shades, from the trembling uncertainty to the quiet resilience. "The Reflection" does occasionally meander into abstract territory, and some viewers may find certain sequences challenging to interpret. However, this ambiguity also contributes to the film's mystique, encouraging audiences to engage with their own fears and introspect on a personal level.

One minor critique is that the supporting characters could have been further developed to provide more context and depth to the girl's world. While the focus on the protagonist's fears is intentional, a stronger connection to her surroundings would have added additional layers of meaning.

In conclusion, "The Reflection" is an impressive short film that succeeds in capturing the essence of fear and its profound impact on our lives. I loved the movie. It adds kind of a hint of horror and is scary. It is really thrilling. I was in suspense the entire time thinking that something bad was gonna happen. This shows you a good look into domestic abuse and that women feel forced into hiding it from other people. She feels threatened to get help, so she stuck in a horrible relationship. But after all, it was very suspenseful and thrilling. If they added more cinematics I could be happier, more affects. It was more or less a simple camera recorded video in my opinion. But still afterall an awesome film that I loved to watch. If there was another part to it, I would watch it.

I believe that most writers and artists have their lives segmented into two worlds. One comprised of fellow creatives in our field (existing largely, these days, in the realm of social media). The other is in front of our faces, revolving around family and friends who know us more fully-and yet may find our creative passions more difficult to understand. You Hurt My Feelings, is placed almost squarely in the latter realm. Its protagonist Beth (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) is an author and professor of writing, married to therapist Don. Though not a writer himself, he's loving and supportive of her work just as she is with his, yet their strong marital bond exists outside the scope of their careers. But an existential crisis is spawned in Beth when she discovers Don has been lying to her about liking her newest, yet-to-be-published book.

I watched this film trailer a couple of months ago, and I keep coming back! I get the same feelings that I did when I first saw it. Suspenseful, eerie, and the superb acting put this over the top. The actress does her job very well, as you can see from the expressions on her face, which perfectly match the scene. This is not exactly the genre that I usually watch, but something about the trailer caught my eye, and I'm glad it did. I really can't express how excited I am to watch this short film. The look and feel of this film have a nice quality to it; the dark scenes capture the exact feeling it was trying to portray, and I can't get enough of it. I'm sure this film is going to be relatable to some people, and I hope they can find something in it and achieve happiness one day.
  • This short film depicts the insights of domestic abuse which may be hidden amongst people that are unknown to their closest friends and family, outlining the dangers and importance of recognizing these signs of domestic abuse. The use of dark imagery and diverse camera angles deeply depicts the realistic nature and problem faced in our current society, and the combined direction with the detailed acting captures the overall atmosphere of the scene. For me, it captures a real problem that I will continue to remember and take note of because of the emotional message I took from this amazing short film.

I think this movie has really good acting in it you can definitely see that something is going on with her and she is lying to her friend about being okay.

There is also a lot of sound and visual affect that adds to the horror of the film that gives it that atmosphere and sort of puts you through what's she is going through and helps capture that a lot.

You can tell a lot of effort has been put into this short film into editing and filming it looks like a very passionate project set by some people that really want this message out there.

The message was really good and it captured the emotion exceptionally well however I don't think the film really made that much sense think they could of captured it differently we don't know much of a backstory and maybe they could of shown a scene of the victim about to get abused.

The cinematography is absolutely incredible! I love the intensity of the film as well, the fact that even she doesn't believe herself that everything is just fine. You can see everything wrong without having to hear anything behind said because it's showcased so well solely off the tone and the sounds and the freakin amazing cinematography as a whole! The actors were so good for what the film is meant to be! Just simple and sweet but intense enough for you to believe everything! What got this film to 8 stars is the message behind this film, and how much was captured in such a short amount of minutes.
  • "The Reflection" is a compelling short film that beautifully delves into the world of psychological suspense. From the first eerie phone call to the unnerving climax, the movie brilliantly keeps the audience on the edge of their seats.

The film successfully weaves a complex narrative in a short span of time, playing with elements of horror and mystery. The cinematography is excellent, creating an atmosphere of unease that permeates the entire film. Directorial touches, such as the clever use of lighting and shadows, help to heighten the suspense.

The story's central character is portrayed with a depth and complexity that is often missing from short films. Her fears, doubts, and experiences are relatable, making the story even more immersive. The strength of the film lies not just in its thrilling plot, but also in its exploration of relationships, trust, and deception.

The script is crisp and well-paced, and the plot twists are cleverly executed. Without giving anything away, the revelation of the 'true nature' of the woman's newest relationship is handled deftly, with a blend of subtlety and drama that leaves a lasting impact.

The performances are commendable, especially the lead actress, who conveys a wide range of emotions with a marked degree of authenticity. The fear and confusion she exudes add to the overall unsettling tone of the film.

Despite its brief runtime, "The Reflection" packs quite a punch. It's a testament to how much can be achieved in a short film, both in terms of narrative and emotional impact. This film is recommended for anyone who appreciates a well-crafted, suspense-filled psychological thriller.

  • The short film The Reflection is very interesting, personally it left me intrigued as to what could continue to happen in the girl's house and how her reaction will be to the new presence that has appeared in her bathroom mirror. It is without a doubt one of the best short films I have seen, a lot of suspense, some horror, it is a good combination. I hope they think about making a long or complete film, many people would see it in premiere. In terms of recording and editing, some things could improve, but the truth is that everything is very good, the scenes and the shots of the girl are from a good position.

The video quality is great and the scenery is excellent. This film serves as an example and consciousness in any person who has to deal with a narcissist's behavior. The cinematography displayed is a masterpiece in itself, characterized by an impeccable attention to detail that orchestrates a visually spellbinding journey. The skilled ensemble of cast and crew deserves a standing ovation for their exceptional dedication in giving life to this intellectually stimulating narrative.
  • From the moment I pressed play on this short film, I knew I was in for something special. The mere five minutes of runtime left me yearning for more, almost angry that it ended so soon. But in that brief window, I was completely enthralled, and I can't help but wish it were a full-length feature, so I could delve even deeper into its mesmerizing world.

I deliberately avoided reading any reviews or plot summaries beforehand, and I'm glad I did. The surprise and mystery that unfolded on screen were an exhilarating experience. The cinematography was spellbinding, and the carefully orchestrated horror/thriller music had me on the edge of my seat from the very first second.

The actress's seemingly monotonous movements in the opening minute cleverly evolved into crucial foreshadowing moments later on. The plot's construction was brilliantly crafted, taking me on an emotional rollercoaster akin to the finest horror movies. From the comfort of normality to the creeping sense of unease, and finally, the heart-pounding terror that gripped me tightly.

If I were to offer any constructive criticism, it would be to push the boundaries even further with the makeup effects to enhance the horrific impact. But that's just a minor detail in comparison to the overall excellence of this piece.

This short film demands your full attention; it's not one to be casually watched while multitasking. Every second matters, and you won't want to blink for fear of missing a single frame.

After finishing this cinematic gem, I'm already planning to hit the replay button. I'm eager to share this unique experience with my fellow horror-movie-loving friends, as it's a must-watch for anyone seeking a thrilling and spine-chilling journey from start to finish.
