Danger: spellbinders at large
Despite the dumb porno title, "Just the Tip" is a fine, intriguing fantasy from Wicked Pictures.
It combines various genres to tell a small town tale of lovers, ex-lovers, magicians and even a UFO. Not your usual story, but something diverting beyond the now mandatory dishing out of four porn scenes.
It starts literally with a bang, as sexy hitchhiker Chantal Danielle is picked up in his Dodge Challenger by Seth Gamble. They f*ck at home, and later stop in at a local restaurant owned by Jack Vegas, whose daughter Mina Luxx happens to be Seth's ex-girlfriend.
The plot thickens with a news broadcast reporting a UFO landing at Stevenson's ranch, and soon a couple of very strange characters show up at the restaurant: Queenie Sateen and Robby Echo. They call themselves spellbinders or magicians, and with some okay SPFX do various tricks, conduct fortune telling for Chantal and Mina, hypnotize Jack's girlfriend Melissa Stratton and even pull off the stunt of briefly freezing Seth in time to impress Mina with their power. They also impress Mina by having sex in the restaurant while she's watching, thus turning her on.
For all of this description, the feature still conforms to the current norm of mainly all-sex, but has some unusual editing that I appreciated, overlapping or repeating some footage at the beginning of each vignette, not in the manner of a recap but rather showing details again for emphasis or to change the point-of-view. Ultimately the issues of alien intervention or just the spellbinders manipulating the other characters are left to the viewer to ponder.
