This is the music video for the song "Do You Wanna Date My Avatar" from the talented actors starring on The Guild. This was released back in 2009, so it has its 10th anniversary this year. The director is Jed Whedon, yep the brother. It runs for under 4 minutes and has Felicia Day (who strangely enough is not credited here) sing the entire song on her own with a brief rap interruption. I kinda liked The Guild, well not all seasons, but it is a fun little show in my opinion and this music video fits in pretty nicely too I think with the overall tone of the series. Of course it is about nerds and the world of online gaming here and the characters display some solid cosplay and this fits in nicely too. Yeah you won't find great depth here and also it is not as funny as the show, but the song is pretty catchy in my opinion and I think it is better than just a random promo effort and while I am not sure if it was released, it probably asn't worse than most other stuff in the charts back in 2009. So if you like The Guild, then go watch this one and most likely you won't be disappointed. If you have no idea what The Guild is, you can also watch it, but my tip is to go for the series first.
