  • These 4 "Modern-Day Sins" scenes on a Devil's Film DVD are about sex in public, but the stupid screenplays (mainly by Midnight) are just awful. Running well over 3 hours long, it's designed for gonzo fans.

"Hot Yoga" is an idiotic, way over-long scene directed by Bree Mills, who no longer takes a producer credit for this junk. It makes fun of New Age nonsense, embodied in substitute yoga instructor Isiah Maxwell, whose lack of acting ability makes the attempted humor of his character fall flat.

With tons of talent (all wasted) on the payroll, he f*cks Jane Wilde endlessly (and even noisily) while the rest of the class is oblivious, notably Robby Echo as Jane's partner (whether lover or husband is not specified in Midnight's crummy script). Destiny Cruz looks fetching in tights, and beauties Anny Aurora and Alexia Anders are present as extras during the tedious sex footage. It's unclear whether Bree actually did any directing here, or just left to enjoy a ham sandwich while the porn players did their gonzo thing.

Bree directs another scene in the Female Cuckold genre, "Regularly Scheduled Appointment", hard to sit through. Aila Donovan is a self-absorbed lady in need of hair styling, who likes to drag her subservient husband Seth Gamble around with her everywhere. Little does she know that he's carrying on with her hairdresser Ana Foxxx. Foxxx is obsequious to her "favorite customer" and fits out Aila with headphones and cucumber on her eyes for the duration, while Seth f*cks her and Aila is clueless as to what's going on. I liked the touch of Ana wearing a phony wig as well as her black bottom offering maximum contrast to Seth's white cum at the climax. Whatever perverse pleasure Bree takes from directing such dumbness as this is hers alone.

"Let Them Watch" attempts to be humorous and satirical, but is merely annoying. Syren De Mer (styled with glasses to look like a stereotypical librarian-type) and Dick Chibbles are an older couple enjoying a date night out at the movies, attending an "art film" all her friends have been raving about, and they're disgusted to see 20-somethings Athena Faris and Ricky Spanish sit in front of them and make out during the movie. The youngsters are having sex in public, so the oldies leave in a huff, angrily asking concession stand guy Josh Lewis for a refund. He's styled in uniform like something out of the 1950s, while the cinema and its seating is a tiny one, strictly modern and dull, no movie palace of old.

Meant as satire, this is insulting, pornographers boring the hell out of a viewer that no art movie of old, which of course paved the way for pornography to take over and pre-empt quality cinema in the art houses during the 1970s in real life. Athena's fake passion is ridiculous.

Victoria Voxxx is old-fashioned when it comes to sex, and in this scenario her husband Nick Strokes is posited as a real square; by the end of the vignette everyone agrees that he's just boring.

Nick & VV are throwing a dinner party at their new house, and while the boys chat about nothing, the girls talk about sex, with Liv Revamped emphasizing the fun to be had using sex toys when having sex with her husband. VV counters that she & Nick only have sex Wednesday, in the dark, without any "circus" positions like doggystyle, to which Liv and pal Daya Knight encourage her to experiment with more interesting sex.

Seth Gamble overhears the girls' conversation, so he and pal Will Pounder plot to give Liv a thrill, and in unconvincing fashion, they have a lengthy threesome while clueless cuckold Nick shows the other two women around his wonderful home and garden. It's a tedious segment, with VV totally out of character after the dull first 6 minutes of jabbering.
