Barbara Steele in Conversation (2009)
*** (out of 4)
This interview with cult favorite Barbara Steele clocks in a few minutes shy of thirty but fans of the actress will certainly enjoy it. The actress starts off talking about how she got into the business and then we get into details about her films including an Elvis movie that didn't go as planned.
The majority of the running time is devoted to her horror movies like BLACK Sunday, THE HORRIBLE DR. HITCHCOCK, PIT AND THE PENDULUM and SHIVERS. Also discussed are some of her non-horror roles including 8 1/2.
There's certainly nothing ground-breaking about this conversation but there's no question that it will appeal to fans of the actress. She tells some nice stories about the director's she worked with and is also open and frank about some of the regrets she has. All in all this is a nice interview.
