Running at a lean and spry 96min, Clint Eastwood's Sully isn't so much a clinical bio-pic in the traditional ...
The biplane that Sully is training on, in the flashback scene, is a very rare Stearman Cloudboy, one of just six still flying at the time the movie was made.
Chesley 'Sully' Sullenberger:
You were looking for a human error then make it human.
When Sully is ditching the aircraft on the Hudson, he is shown to be looking out the front cockpit window and seeing the river approaching. In reality, he had the aircraft at quite a steep pitch, so though he could have seen the river approaching out his side window, out the front window he would have only seen sky.
Photos of the real plane and rescue are shown during the credits. They are followed by a brief video with real people from that day including the passengers and Captain Sullenburger.
