Autobots and Decepticons are at war, with humans on the sidelines. Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth.
Onslaught's original alternate mode in The Transformers (1984) was an anti-aircraft truck, but this was revised to a Western Star tow truck. His green color is an homage to the Autobot Tow-Line in Transformers: Robots in Disguise (2000), who was a green tow truck.
Where the hell is your so-called magician, Arthur?
Arthur: He'll be here, Lancelot!
Optimus, known as Nemesis Prime under control of Quintessa, regains control of himself once he hears Bumblebee speaking with his true voice. Prime claims that he hasn't heard Bee's voice since Cybertron. However, Bumblebee used his true voice at the end of the first movie, while still on Earth.
SPOILER: There is a scene in the closing credits: a human team is investigating Unicron's horn in the desert, and Quintessa in human form meets them and offers her assistance.
