This movie is not a documentary on zoology, but is rather a fantasy, set in a world where all animals have the ability to walk upright, think in a self aware manner, and speak a common language, among other improbabilities. Odd elements such as porcupines being able to shoot their quills as projectiles (a popular misconception which has been debunked), squid surviving in unsalted tap water, etc., are simply part of the fantasy and should not be regarded as goofs.
In the Illumination Entertainment logo, 4 Minions are singing the word "Illumination". The last one, Bob, sings the 'tion' part so long and loud, the 'MIN' and 'ION' parts short out. After realizing what he has done, he says "Oops"
