  • Kimmy Schmidt and her "sisters" have been living in an underground bunker for years, being kept by a nutcase preacher. They have been taught that they are worthless and are forced to say so. This sounds pretty morbid but he has convinced them that the world was annihilated. Suddenly, a SWAT team comes bursting into the bunker and they are all free. The media portrays the as the "Mole Women." Kimmy sees the sunlight and flexes her positive attitude, heading for New York City. She has a bunch of money and goes looking for an apartment. It's not like she knows nothing about the world. It's just that there are natural changes (at one point she calls a cell phone a Gameboy). She eventually fall into an apartment as a roommate to a transgender person who is an amazing character. She goes out an gets a job with a crazy rich woman who has a set of profligate children and a missing husband. She is played by Jane Krakowski. Kimmy is filled with the spirit of life and can make lemonade with the best of them.
