This is the first Power Rangers movie to feature the characters Jason, Zack, & Trini as Rangers. Jason had previously appeared in Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie (1997) but was a civilian, while Zack and Trini make their film debut for the first time.

The end credits of the "making of" documentary on the home video release include a credit for "Abby Road Studios." The first word should be spelled "Abbey."
Part of the closing credits are set around a rock crystal in the form of a thunderbolt, the Power Rangers logo. The credits for the Power Rangers (past and present) are set within the Rangers' respective Power Coin.
