A team of scientists explore an uncharted island in the Pacific, venturing into the domain of the mighty Kong, and must fight to escape a primal Eden.
At the premiere in Vietnam, the sixteen foot tall display model statue of King Kong was engulfed in flames, which was caused by the models of smaller volcanoes surrounding the statue. The fire was extinguished in fifteen minutes, and no one was hurt.
Wasn't Kong the one who killed your friend?
Hank Marlow: No.
Hank Marlow: One of them did. Kong's god on the island, but the devils live below us.
James Conrad: And what are they called?
Hank Marlow: The Iwis won't speak their name, but I call them... Skullcrawlers.
James Conrad: Why?
Hank Marlow: Cause it sounds neat.
James Conrad: Okay.
Hank Marlow: ...
One pilot is shown carrying and using an AK-47. While this MAY have been acceptable on a combat mission in Vietnam, in a situation where there are no other troops similarly armed, it would be unacceptable and rather foolish. The shooter would be unable to either receive additional ammunition from a teammate in a crisis; nor would they be able to scrounge ammunition if they ran short.
There is a scene in the closing credits: Marlow returns to America and reunites with his family.
