  • Parker's Anchor is a story about starting over that most audiences will appreciate. It's got a cast of fun, quirky characters and pacing that keeps the story moving, yet gives the characters time to develop. If you're looking for a heart warming, female led, indie movie, this is one to see.
  • This movie was interesting and pretty spot on with such a issue of not being able to have a baby. I'm not sure if it was the actors or what? Is was a good love story with all the twists and turns. But near the end of the movie while they said they were in love with each other, I didnt feel it. Seemed like words!! The plot was slow in the beginning and the little girl telling her story sounded like a grown woman talking in a child voice. Maybe I'm just use to more intimacy between couples or affection? The movie was good but lacked a connection between the actors and the audience. Seemed more like a home movie!
  • I am a part of this film. I am biased. I would still watch the crap out of this movie every year, cuddled up on the couch, with ice cream,
  • I went into this film with a completely different expectation of what it was going to be. I wanted to watch one of those typical homecoming movies where the person begins to love their old town yada yada yada...

This movie isn't that, it's so much more than that and I feel like this is the most "real" movie I've seen in a long time. What I mean by this is that the story is beautiful and heartwarming but what I loved most about this film is how they were able to tell it in a very REAL way, not some cookie cutter homecoming style movie where the two characters hate each other and through a series of carefully orchestrated miscommunications... well you see where I'm going here?

This film tells the story how you would see this situation play out in the real world, but they tell it in such a way that makes it compelling and yet still very entertaining.

I really loved it so much so that when I saw only three reviews I felt like it's a hidden gem and I needed to let people know they should watch it... you won't be disappointed.
