  • About: New galactic superheroes debut as Stan Lee mentors them.

Story: it's a fun take of these newbs. It's just of them trying to cooperate with each other.

Production: it's decent and tolerable animation. I just don't understand why Marvel didn't produce this. Sad it never had a sequel before Stan Lee left.

Highlight: Just see a batch of new heroes with Stan at the lead.

    Main intelligence: 5

Shoukd you watch this?: it doesn't hurt to try. The Mighty 7 is no game changer. It's no THOR but you and your picknwy will have fun watching this joint.

    Have fun with it.
  • As you can see from the credits, Stan Lee plays himself. That's very, very cool. The story is original in all respects. The characters are all original. The story depicts how Stan Lee came up with his ideas about some of his stories about superheroes. It also slyly comments about some of the problems Stan Lee has experienced over the years getting his publisher to print his work.

Unfortunately the excellent story is marred by less than stellar animation. Nearly every scene, even many scenes that were in the dark, had a white haze effect swirling around for no apparent purpose. It was as if a camera was aimed with the sun at the edge of the picture. The detail in the drawings lacks clarity.

That said, it is still very worthwhile to watch it.

This movie was brilliant! I watched this yesterday on TV and noticed Lady Lightning's voice sounded like Amy from The Big Bang Theory, so I came here to double check. I also thought it would be a good idea to write a review about this fantastic movie!

The plot is great and loved the team of superheroes and their powers! I also loved how Stan Lee was playing himself and writing comics about the 'Mighty 7' (although I didn't really like how Stan Lee was appearing in the movie very rarely, considering this is STAN LEE's Mighty 7 - I also thought maybe they would've gave Stan Lee a super power like, I don't know, flying? I don't know, something legit to make the movie even more awesome!).

This movie was great and really recommend it!

  • I remember when The Mighty 7 first hit the airwaves back in February 2014 but for whatever reason I never got around to watching this film until now. The first thing that I noticed right away was the beautifully detailed animation. The entire movie is very brightly colored and the individual character designs for the 7 and the rest of the supporting characters look fantastic. I also really enjoyed the sense of realism that Stan tried to bring to the story. It has a bit of a reality tv vibe which makes the story feel new and exciting. The other thing that impressed me was the talented voice cast. You can tell that the actors were having a lot of fun voicing their respective characters. It's a complete shame that this pilot film didn't have a chance to shine and grow into a full fledged on going series. From what I understand there were supposed to be two more TV movies in addition to the tv series but due to the fact the Hub Network got purchased by Discovery and was replaced with the Discovery Family channel, the entire series and films were put on hold. Stan Lee did say that POW Entertainment was working on continuing where they had left off but because of Stan Lee's Death in 2018, the Mighty 7 basically laid to rest with him. For what it's worth this little movie is super fun, the action is great, the characters were very cool and Stan Lee gave a sincere performance throughout the film. If you're a Stan Lee fan and want to see a part of his later work in the comic book/ animation genre than this movie is for you. I had a blast watching it and I'm sure any Stan Lee fan will too! As Stan The Man would say, Excelsior!
