  • Midly's eighties, in recent spanish's democracy and in middle of the dirty war between ETA and GAL (spanish govern's paramilitar group), two very opposed position leaders learn to respect each other.
  • Cruel, fierce, realistic, this TV movie reminds the other one I watched ten years ago, or maybe less, directed by Miguel Courtois and speaking of the GAL organization. Here, it is again the ETA terrorist group about which the french and Spanish governments have to argue. Those terrorists assassinate many people and the Spanish leaders ask the french ones to arrest and then send them, to Spain, with everything that means for those men put under custody...Torture, executions...Jérémie Renier plays here an idealistic government man who tries his very best to prevent the arrested terrorists to be brought to the Spanish justice, to their death warrant. And he also fights against the way the french authorities have to authorize the GAL illegal killers to full their slaughter contracts on the french ground. The character portraits are very well drawn but this film leaves you a bad taste in the mouth. Worth watching.
