  • James Corden is an interesting choice for this show. It is a risk but I think one worth taking. Corden is well known in the UK although truth to be told he is not universally loved. I have generally liked him but he does seem to rub some people up the wrong way. I have never quite understood why but it is worth mentioning. This is a departure in style to its predecessor and that is a good thing as shows like this do need to change if they are to succeed long term. He is clearly riffing off the Graham Norton show (BBC America) with a bit of Jimmy Fallon thrown in for good measure but then why not, as they are probably the best 'fun' talk show in the English speaking world at the moment? James is likable and quick on his feet verbally but is let down by his only average writers and he has not yet quite worked out how to handle three stars at once. All in all I would say the show is in safe hands and those that don't get the show at all probably did not get the Craig Ferguson show either or perhaps they were just used to it. I hope the show beds in and I suspect it will.
  • From time to time when being up late I will watch "CBS" and "The Late Late Show with James Corden" and I must say from time to time I watch for his guest of famous people. However it's sometimes a different delight to see the show's music and the games he has the guest to play as the parody and sketches are revealing and wild! Plus this guy is the king of sing along mostly Carpool Karaoke! Overall not the best in late night yet it's a fun watch from time to time on "CBS".

The humor here is excellent, and Corden is definitely the reason.

Born James Kimberley Corden 22 August 1978 (age 37) Hillingdon, London, England, UK which is westernmost London and grew up in Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire, England according to an internet biography, the best way to watch this show is on DVR unless your a night owl. James is a wild sort of late night host.

He has a sense of humor that goes from British to Infinity. He sings terrible but has developed something called Carport Karoke where he gets to display that talent with popular singers in a motor car. The best singer in his show is Reggie Watts, who leads one of the hippest bands on TV. Reggie can really sing and a whole lot more and helps Corden a lot. I have a crush on the woman playing guitar on Reggie Watts left shoulder.

What I have found in watching some of this show is they will do some wild humorous stuff, and a lot of bleeping punch lines. One night James is in the audience and some old lady behind him wants to stroke his butt. Of course he tells her to go ahead and have at it. On the 100th show they went on the streets looking for someones house they can host the show from. If this were anyplace but Hollywood, that would be very dangerous, but they picked a pretty good neighborhood and only got turned down at about 6 houses.

I know folks are mad that this young guy replaced another popular host who is now on the History Channel. The fact is there is a new guy on late late, he is produced by Letterman's Worldwide Pants company, and he appears to have big enough britches to do it. Reggie Watts is the best guy to come along in a long time to work with Corden and I laugh at what I am seeing (except the Lady with the Guitar, I want some of that).

Not as funny as he thinks he is but BTS fans being outraged and acting like immature children is quite hilarious.
  • A genuinely kind and talented comedian is now facing online harassment for doing what comedians do and poking fun. Ignore the fandom trying to sabotage someone's career over literally nothing and watch the show to judge it for yourself.

I like this show, i find it funny to watch and gives me a smile on my face:)
  • This man is seriously insufferable. Who is he and what credentials did he have to warrant this spot?
  • I know James disrespected the Bts fandom by referring to us as "15 year old girls" but have any of yous actually thought about this poor mans career- He was most likely given a script or told through an ear piece what to say, giving his show bad ratings because of one unfunny joke isn't going to help the producers take back what they had him say. Leaving these ratings only harms James and not the actual people behind the scenes and as kpop stans we should know this first hand especially because it's happened before in the kpop world, where idols are told to say things without knowing what they mean. I'm so frustrated with the kpop community atm, like the man is literally 43 years old, let him be 😭
  • Why is there only 4 new shows a week almost everybody else work 5 days a week. James I know gets played enough for 365 days a your. There is enough actors to fill in when he is not working. If I am bored I will stop watching or not buy what you sell. Like a boycotte.
  • Insensitive judgemental humor poking at ideas that promote hatred towards targeted communities.

I watch this show all the time when I'm up late, and it has never seriously offended me because I know he's joking. The BTS fans clouding this review section are just proving they are all immature. Every boy bands fans get called 15 year old girls, and every boy band will be made fun of in some way, especially in a joking way. The armies are being immature and annoying by flooding his reviews because everyone knows this is a great show with a great host. Keep on keeping on James and everyone else at the late late!! 10/10 show!
  • BTS make songs about problems faced by today's generation - criticism, societal pressure, physical and mental abuse, bullying and mental health. So, they are the perfect candidates to represent today's youth at the United Nations. I wish James had done some research into what BTS stand for and why before making a disrespectful statement dressed as a joke at both the expense of BTS and their fanbase.

Would he have called the presence of Selena Gomez or Harry Styles, for example, at the United Nations UNUSUAL or their fans "15yo girls"? Only 15yo girls cannot sell out cars or stadiums, nor raise millions of dollars for charity every year, which he'd be surprised to know, actually come from the pockets of hardworking fans. Also, what is wrong with having "15yo" "girls" as fans? Is he now gatekeeping music with ageism and sexism? Even if he considers us all as 15yo, we collectively do more good with charity each month, than James has in his entire life.

It takes a long time to build respect but a second to lose, safe to say he has lost all my respect.
  • I don't like late night talk shows because of how robotic they are. The interviews are too planned and the hosts feel so fake.

James Corden is a breath of fresh air. He exudes humbleness and a genuine eagerness to entertain each night's audience and get the most interesting stories out of his guests. The Graham Norton-inspired style of having multiple guests on a couch and just chatting is different for American late night talk shows in a very good way. His humor style works much better than other hosts' when it comes to the opening monologue. Reggie Watts's nightly question for the guest is always entertaining.

For a show that just began, I'm already loving it infinitely more than Fallon or Letterman.
  • The host sucks, biggest despointemet as an army, though I could trust him with the boys but he turns out just like the others, mocking 15 years old teenagers that are passionate about something and using it against BTS, jimin will be so disappointed.
  • As another person has stated here, a lot of these poor reviews were written not long after the shows debut. It is unfair to judge the show early as every program has teething problems in the beginning, imagine judging Seinfeld on its pilot.

After over six months on air the show and James have really come into their own, he isn't Craig Ferguson and he doesn't want to be. James Corden's fast wit, gentle humour and unique style breathe a fresh air into the stale, formulaic landscape of late night television. With extremely popular segments like Carpool Karaoke and Role Call which have been a hit online as well as on air James is starting to build a large fan base and with good reason. At 12:30 in the morning it's a relief to be able to forget about whatever dead end job you are stuck in or whatever terrible story you saw on the news and enjoy an extremely talented presenter and performer doing what he enjoys, making you forget about life for a while and maybe going to sleep with a smile on your face.
  • Deserve GSGAHAHAHAAH.

You messed up with the wrong fandom Really?! Using BTS for clout?! Honestly how low could people like host of the show go for popularity.
  • The poor reviews of this show must be from folks who watched one segment and made up their mind or have never even watched the show. James Corden is arguably the most talented man in late night and if you watched his show regularly, you would easily agree. So what if he's British. His carpool karaoke segments are frequently hilarious. The comedy segments are smart, well written and just plain funny. The skits he convinces the celebrities to take part in are just classic. His duet with Alanis Morissette with updated lyrics to "Ironic" was a great example. So entertaining and so funny. Same thing with Ellie Goulding, a duet with 8 different musical styles of her song "Love Me Like You Do" in 4 minutes. Lots of fun. Subscribe to his YouTube Channel and give him a chance before you prematurely write him off. He's a true talent and I love his show. In fact, I think he puts the other mainstream cookie cutter late night hosts to shame.

Used to be a fan, until I was referred to as a 15 yr old girl the day I turend 40. Just a few years off there James. Am I really going to quit watching a show I enjoyed because of a monologue? Yes. Because my respect for myself and BTS far outweighs my respect for you.

The hysteria from toxic Twitter ARMY is not representative of the entire fandom.

Keep doing what you do, James. We all know it was a joke and obvious sarcasm.

The joke about a 15 year old wanting to be an old dude was clearly only an example of how preposterous the idea would be.

This is why the world thinks ARMY are a bunch of children and why a lot of fans stay clear of the hive mind collective.

I thought we could trust James but clearly I was wrong you used BTS for clout... you people don't understand that BTS inspires us many people have achieved things they thought they never will be able to cuz of BTS... how dare you say BTS appearing at UNGA is "unsual" ?? Fyi this is their 3rd speech at UN and people of all ages listen to BTS not just "15 year old girls" you deserve the backlash you're getting james.. you messed with the wrong fandom.
  • I will never tell the armies, the man was just joking and look at what they did. Armies are a really toxic mass, this is james' work and it's a disgraceful move they've made.
  • Shame on you James Corden..insulting BTS like this who are promoting SDG goals through their talent nd trying to reach to maximum population. How insensitive and irresponsible you are! Big artists from all around the world follow BTS and you calling them 15year old girls!!...not seen a double sided mannerless creature like you..you can't be called a human making joke on people speaking at a platform like UN! Are you bigger the the UN leaders who invited BTS to promote these goals for protecting our world u breathe in...!
  • Warning: Spoilers
James Corden is way too talented for the late night. He can sing, act, improv, quick on his feet, and is very humble. Did I mentioned the man has a beautiful singing voice? The first episode was great like the Graham Norton show in the U.K. He is not afraid to interact with the guests and I like that the guests weren't just on the show promoting some new movie. Any host who goes past the generic questions and allows us to know a little more about the guests is a great host. I also liked how he did not make the interview about him. He made it about the guests and he did an excellent job of making his guests feel comfortable. I also liked how the set allows him and his guests to interact with the audience too. I think he is going to do an excellent job with the show. And if I am up past my bedtime, I will definitely check out his show again.
  • Sorry but never tolerate disrespect. I like you're show because of BTS and I watching you're show because of BTS and ARMY. But you disrespect BTS's the most prestigious UN assembly presence quoting 'UNUSUAL ' & irrelevant. This is the utmost disrespect towards BTS and Army.
