  • Look, there's probably a lot you've already seen and the story is somewhat predictable and stereotypical characters but the movie was still entertaining and better than many big budget comedies with bigger names. The story is encouraging about how you shouldn't wait for things to be terrible before you start being yourself.

The lead actor played the part well and looked normal enough that you would believe his character wasn't popular. Anjelica Bette Fellini was great in her part and hopefully we will see a lot more of her in the future. There were a few recognisable faces from Nickelodeon and Disney shows.

And finally I have reached the minimum character limit for my review...

From the opening, Sid, the stereotypical teen boy, ducking under the radar in every sphere of his existence, awakens our sympathy. His self-imposed rules keep him from really living.

Until, one day, he inadvertently offends the seriously violent school bully.

He then realizes that the bully is really planning to kill him!

Despite the offensive language, which weakened the dialogue, the story is engaging. Sid decides that, in the two and a half weeks that his bully is spending at an anger management retreat, he will write a list of must-do ideas and accomplish each one.

Sid manages to work through his list and achieves some of his dreams. By being true to himself and exercising bravery in the face of fear, he inspires others. Until a new video appears...
  • I have watched many movies over the years, some of the classics and some of the obscure. But lately, Hollywood and their ilk have not been providing many films worth your time.

This is not one of THEM. This is not one of the thousands of coming of age/rom-coms we have all seen. A surprisingly good script, different enough for you stay engaged and avoid the grumble, "Yeah, I've seen this before!" Plus, a very good ending without being a cliche.

A quality cast, quality production values and performances. - with a message which will surprise..

Its surprising this was not on anyone's radar and no-one has left more reviews. Its a good movie!
  • I had low expectations because there are just thousands of bad movies out there whether they're too woke, too boring, too cliche etc.

This isn't one of them. It kept my attention the whole time. It definitely has many unrealistic moments and I think that's its flaw, but the message is strong: be brave and live life epically.

It's a combination of Mean Girls and Super Bad. You can tell they wanted a new cult classic movie made and you can see the inspiration from both of these movies. It is unique, though. Not as predictable as you think and tells a new story that I haven't seen in a teen movie yet.

Again, not a realistic portrayal of high school, but it's still a pretty good movie. The lead is fantastic and the rest of the cast is pretty good. I'd recommend.
