  • Warning: Spoilers
"Ariana Grande: One Last Time" is a 4-minute music video for the song in the title by the artist in the title. It is an apocalyptic setting apparently as a gigantic comet is about to destroy the Earth. And it is for everybody to do one last time whatever they want to do, perhaps be with their loved ones as several characters are. The setting sure is an interesting one, actually a pretty creepy one even. But I must say apart from the catchy chorus, there is not too much to this little video in terms of memorability. Grande looks of course as stunning as always. It is a bit of a sad reference to see this video and song in the face of the recent events at Grande's concert, but I guess her name will be forever linked now to what happened at Manchester. The events there were as dark as the ones in this short film with the difference between fiction and reality. As a whole, this really short film we have here is not a failure I would say, but it fits in well with the pop music of our time and you can't deny there is certainly some pseudo significance in here too.

Addition: Nine months after originally writing this review, I need to adjust my rating from 4 to 8 out of 10 as the song really did not go out of my head anymore. Also the tragic romance component here grew on me, even if I mist say that the connection between jealousy and apocalypse (end of the world because he loves another) still feels a bit shoddy in this Max Landis music video. But yeah, the song is excellent better than 99% of other recent creations and the music video is definitely above-average too. It could have been reflected better in the song too to make it really about the apocalypse. All in all, a big thumbs-up now for this one and I may have been wrong back in May 2017 with my lack of appreciation for this one, even if the 2 of 2 who voted this helpful since then may disagree. Go check it out.
  • This is an absolutely remarkable music video and song by Ariana Grande for all viewers and music lovers to watch and completely enjoy. Ariana Grande is absolutely spectacular in her career and everything that she does. The storyline of the music video strongly connects to the song. It was great to see Ariana Grande and Matt Bennett working together to create this music video. They both splendid and remarkable. This music video makes all viewers really think about their own lives and what they would do in this type of situation. It is a bit like Don't Look Up which Ariana Grande starred it. I am not entirely sure what I would do if this sort of situation came true. This is a brilliant song and music video from Ariana Grande for everyone to watch and enjoy.
  • A sleeper Ariana song, it doesn't get the credit it deserves, and this video perfectly preys on the fear that lies on all of us. The song conveys a lover who lost her beloved and pleads for just one more night to cling on to the image of what their relationship could have been. But then the video takes you to a place that no one ever wants to go, the end of the world... all you have is a few moments with the person you love, what do you do? What do you say? Do you accept your fate or do you fight? It's such a simple concept and yet such a devastating reality. That's why I love this so much... like, wow.
