  • Warning: Spoilers
These 4 minutes are the music video for Weezer's (not to be mistaken for Wheatus) "Buddy Holly". But even if the band is somewhat famous, the star here is the director Spike Jonze. He made this one in his mid-30s back then and is an Academy Award winning writer today, over 20 years later. The music video is okay all in all, certainly a bit on the retro side, but not that much given the fact that this was in 1995. Maybe it just was retro still back then. Visually fine, the song is okay too, but something is missing for me to really appreciate it. Still, it's not a bad watch by any means, just nowhere near Jonze's best. Given his young age though, it's a fine effort all in all I guess. Rip to Al Molinaro (Al Delvecchio in here), who just died the other day aged 96.
