- TriviaDuring the first day of shooting, Sean McGann's tripod broke before shooting the Hiroshima scenes. He had to stand the camera up on a nearby fire hydrant to get stationary shots made. A few days later, he bought a new tripod from RadioShack to film the green-screen shots. Unfortunately, when setting this new tripod up, it fell apart in nearly the exact same way as the previous tripod (a leg falling off). McGann had to resort to stacking ten to fifteen books on a hamper in order to film scenes of him climbing the monolith, and using a shortened tripod on a TV tray to film his scenes as the villain, Monolith.
- GoofsIn the shot of the time-warping spoon in close-up, the camera, and even a hand turning the camera off, can be seen in the reflection of the spoon.
