Retreating from life after a tragedy, a man questions the universe by writing to Love, Time and Death. Receiving unexpected answers, he begins to see how these things interlock and how even loss can reveal moments of meaning and beauty.

Takes place around Christmas in New York and during close ups there are clearly piles of snow against the curbing, put there for effect. Yet a flyover displaying all the streets in the city reveals not a speck of a snow. Was obviously filmed during a warm time of year.
The opening logos of Warner Brothers Pictures, New Line Cinema, Village Roadshow Pictures, Ratpac Entertainment, and Overbrook Entertainment are all in pure white, including the backgrounds, which then goes to a line of pure white domino type blocks ending with a clock shaped circle (also with pure white blocks on a white background) as the movies dialogue starts.
