Vulgar, hilariously entertaining and campy as all hell!
What the hell did I just watch? Vulgar, hilariously entertaining and campy as all hell, the whole time I was watching I felt like I was on the outside of some weird inside joke. This is one hell of an odd duck film, but that's what made it enjoyable. There are lots of interesting little cameo appearances and I found myself howling with laughter several times. Sure, some of the humor is juvenile. It's unapologetically violent, but it also feels very self-aware of what it is doing. This is not going to be a film for everyone. In fact, I would say it's a safe bet it's going to only appeal to a niche group of movie lovers. If you're going in expecting Shaun Of The Dead or Zombieland, this is not that film by a long shot.
The technical aspects of the film are fairly solid. The song selection they went with is very obvious, but also what makes it kind of hilarious. It's a very hard movie to explain in its absurdity. My best description would be a dude-bro comedy mixed with a military recruitment video and a Troma movie.
