Jan Fabel Series are similar to Henning Mankell's Wallander. But of course a German version ! For that reason, there are episodes such as Brandmal that actually focuses on the events that took place during the 70s in West Germany. Brandmal is not a simple serial killer / crime solving detective episode in fact it focuses on the dark history of the 70s where there were far left guerilla groups (Such as Baader Meinhof) which were commiting crimes and spreading terror in the streets of West Germany. The scenario is well written and acting is really good. I believe that Jan Fabel Series is underrrated and the series is a must to watch.
