This show was such an unexpected gem for me. Aidy Bryant nails it as DD and the show's bright color and art brought back memories of shows full of schemes and situational bizarre/physical comedy like Ed, Edd, and Eddy or Dexter's Lab but with more modern humor surreal and otherworldly style from current shows like Adventure Time, etc.

The characters were introduced well, but it's hard to get a sense of them fully with just one episode out. I like the dynamic set up between the thrill seeking of DD and the difficulty and fear of Philip. I really hope this one gets picked up, but it's up to the Amazon Gods from here...
  • In this short-lived series, D. D. Danger goes on adventures with her friend named Phillip, a talking egg, encountering problems and issues along the way, whether inside the city park or outside. The themes of acceptance, growing up, family connection, and much more are present in this series which has a wide-range of LGBTQ representation unlike any other show. As such, I happily give this show a rating of 10.
  • I checked out the IMDB page for this show because someone mentioned it on reddit. I only saw 10 star reviews, but the show had 5 stars. When I looked at the distribution, it seemed that there were a good amount of 1 star voters, but none of them had left reviews. That tells me that they haven't watched the show, and some sort of prejudice is dictating their decision.

Anyway, that's why I had to check out this show and ignore the rating. I've come back to say that this show is extremely intelligent and should not have been canceled. It weaves wit with imagination seamlessly. The outlandish characters solve very real problems in a fantastic world. The humor is suitable for adults and kids. I love it!
  • This show has nuanced, interesting characters with complex relationships while still managing to be compelling for children and adult audiences. The story does diversity in such a natural and uplifting style that we need right now. Not to mention the show has plenty of lore to start unpacking.
  • This show is amazing, it is super wholesome! Their whole friendship dynamic is super great and everything about the show is honestly worth the watch. I like everything about this show.

Each character is super unique and feels important to the story. Both the main characters are super genuine and relatable.

Honestly this show is a hidden gem. It is fun and honestly one I'd show my future kids. I love seeing shows like this that are fun and the characters aren't evil or constantly gaslighting each other.

I really would recommend watching this show to anybody. At least give it a shot, it is worth it for sure!
