    ok
Here is the thing about this movie. If you have any knowledge of sailing you need to push it to the side if you want to enjoy this because I'm pretty sure they didn't even consult anyone with a paper boat. Every technical aspect of sailing is wrong. Every tiny detail of sailing is wrong. The entire film is asinine. That being said its . If you ignore the stupidity kind of entertaining. Redford is a master. He can even pull off this stupidity. Barely. If it werent for him this film would rate a 0.0 To be honest whomever directed this should be shot and burried next to whomever wrote it. There was zero no less than zero learning how a sailboat works. Its a shame that people should be allowed to get away with this kind of mockery. Shame on you jerks
  • Robert Redford is excellent in this film. The tragedy of a man lost at sea. His boat is damaged due to a freight in the Ocean that gauges his sail boat. Redford repairs the damage and it shows the struggles he undertakes to get help and stay alive. The different obstacles he goes through to stay alive. Shows to the viewer that you need to be experienced to undergo such trauma. The Ocean is cruel even to the best sailors. He struggles to the very end of his life. Exceptional acting from one of the greatest actors that graced Cinema. Definitely watch this film of this great story teller Robert Redford.
