  • Part of a new outburst of product from Penthouse Video, "Bad Dads" was made by a veteran director Stuart Canterbury and plays like a narrative porn feature made in the late '80s or early '90s, not 2015. Young cast of actresses like the delicious Chloe Amour pinpoints its newness, but the content is moldy.

There's no script credit, but Canterbury doesn't go the trendy incest route, instead portraying a group of fathers who just aren't to be trusted alone with their daughters' girlfriends. Not much of interest occurs, with no significant plot twists, just a minor narrative and continuity upon which auteur Stuart can hang five sex scenes. Even the 15-minute or so duration of each sex outburst is a throwback to those more concise, pre-streaming times of old.

Running down the action we have Nick Manning humping his babysitter Mia Gold in the first vignette. This scene featured a cryptic voice shouting out some direction during the money shot from off-screen - sloppy and left in the final print.

Departing from the title premise, there's even a lesbian scene thrown in the mix, as the wives including Aiden Starr and Kimberly Kane have outdoor sex for a change of pace. Chastity Lynn is sexy as usual, having sex with Leo the lawyer (guest star Eric Masterson) who's working on her dad's divorce case. Playing her dad is the non-stellar Dick Chibbles, a guy who has no business being cast in Adult Cinema (or video).

Marcus London is the one dad who criticizes the others' behavior and seems to have a moral compass, until it comes time for him to join in the hedonism. That's just part of the dated concept throughout - perhaps this was a script leftover in Canterbury's bottom drawer from the ancient Vidco days.
