    A masterclass thriller !

Even though this one is a superb thriller, the execution is very bad. especially the first half of the movie, where you find that everything including acting, direction is amateur. I dont know if that had been done on purpose as you will feel a significant increase in the standard of the movie in the second half, in fact you will be overwhelmed by the increase. You will begin appreciating the vision of the movie as the movie progresses through the second half. Definitely found a lot of plot holes, but never mind those. The background music sometimes seemed iritating as it seemed to be on a loop. The direction is under average on first half, but it became almost professional in the second. The screenplay was good all throughout the movie. The cast is commendable. There were a lot of new faces but none spoiled the movie, everybody did their job good. The story was awesome. No words. It was the biggest plus of the movie. The twist and turns, everything was great. The detailing too was done perfectly. Overall an above average movie.

this is what a sizzling thriller should look like

Vettah is an example of what a sizzling thriller should look like! A quiet suspenseful movie that makes your brain think, think, and think

    DELICIOUS

-Much appreciation to the costume and make-up designers as the actors looked very put together😃

-Anishlal R S, the cinematographer, what a gem you are👏

-No way to predict Vettah's scenario. The story was sophistically written, we were scratching our heads trying IN VAIN to figure out things on our own.

Many thanks to the late Rajesh Pillai, who despite the intricacy, still made it very easy for viewers to follow and understand the plot

-What set Vettah apart was the game it played with our minds through the dialogues, so we became manipulated along with the investigators.

-Color grading and overall editing were well executed

    BLAND

-A few special effects moments were a little non-credible while the score was a bit loud and overwhelming at times.

But this can be overlooked afterall.

Great storyline ruined by terrible direction and acting

This movie could have been way better, but the direction and acting were terrible. After watching this movie I understood that if the director doesn't demand enough even the great actors will give worst performance. I can't believe this movie is directed by the same director who directed Traffic.

Convoluted plot but manages to hold the interest

I caught Vettah on Primevideo with English subtitles.

The plot as it unfolded immediately reminded me of the Bollywood blockbuster Andhadhun, which was equally convoluted with never ending twists and turns in the tale. The plot in Vettah unfolds in a smoother manner than in Andhadhun.

Despite the twists and turns, the plot does indeed hold the interest and Vettah is certainly watchable if not entirely believable.

Kunchako Boban is very good as the psycho who actually is not a psycopath at all but the mastermind of a cunningly executed revenge operation, following a series of personal tragedies. Every time he smiled, there was an eerie feeling. He was also very good in the excellent film Virus.

Manju Warrier is slightly stilted perhaps due to her top heroine status, but the remaining cast are very good. The sets, locations, dialogues, camera work are as per usual Malayalam film standards i.e. very good!
