    Warning: Spoilers
I'm in love with all the characters and I miss the show a lot since FOX cancelled it. Now we all are not going to know if Sabrina survives the lightning or not. Shame on you FOX! It was a one of a kind show. Bring The Mick back!
  • If CBS could carry a terrible show like "2 Broke Girls" for 6 seasons, how is it that Fox can't keep a highly rated and funny show for more than 2 seasons. If this show is suffering from anything, it's that there's just too much stuff on TV to watch. I've been watching this show on HULU and it's frickin hilarious. Terrible call to cancel it.
  • I'm a huge It's Always Sunny fan and I regarded both The Mick and A.P. Bio with ambivalence. These aren not one-off movies that the actors could do and then forget about - they could be permanent jobs.

I gave The Mick a shot and it grabbed me instantly. It's very funny, very smart. Some see it as a flaw that the character Olson plays is almost exactly Di from Sunny, but I see that as a plus... but that's just me.

It's a real comedy, not a light-hearted drama. It's based around laughs. But there are no canned laughs.

I'm still in season 1, but I give it a 9/10 so far.
  • I L O V E The Mick, it is one of the most promising new show, and definetly the funnies one! The humor is priceless and epic! Mick is freaking queen of disaster and that's why we all love so damn much! BUT FOX CANCELED IT I am so pissed off right now, FOX cancels all great shows they have, Mick, Brooklyn 99 and Lucifer. ITS A DISASTER

SAVE MICK SAVE MICK SAVE MICK SAVE MICK WE WANT MORE, WE WANT SEASON 3

Is there a CHANCE that we can save this show? So many other good shows like Lucifer, and Expanse have been saved by their fans, why not The Mick!? I really enjoyed this show, and the comical writing that was more high-brow than the normal FOX comedies. Someone please post a petition page, if there is one, and I'd be more than happy to sign.

I didn't find out about this show until after Fox cancelled it. I found it while I was binging the 14th season of It's Always Sunny.... I really like Kaitlin Olson's character in It's Always Sunny... and really didn't think she got enough lines or air times.

The Mick gives me that extra view of Ms. Olson. While the character is nearly the same as she played in It's Always Sunny..., the situations are very different - enough to keep me engaged and laughing.

Great show, legitimately funny, and Kaitlin Olson has excellent comedic timing.
  • Loved this show, totally bummed it was cancelled. Think it would have a really good following if they brought it back.
  • Off the back of her excellent performances in Its Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Olsen transitions perfectly into something slightly more family friendly. Whilst still portraying a rough, 'bad' character, far more emphasis is given to the caring side in The Mick in order to show the development of the dysfunctional family. A lighter touch on darker themes, such as drugs, discrimination and violence, but keeping the same atmosphere of a selfish group hitting the pitfalls within their endeavours.

Olsen and MacArthur carry the majority of the comedic heavy lifting, although the rest of the cast do their fair share. Frequently utilising slapstick humour, smarter wit is slipped in with the sharp tongues of sarcasm. The 'kids' all have their distinct personalities, the difficulty being that whilst they are purposefully abhorrent, they don't quite get as much comeuppance as their guardians. Having wealthy, self-obsessed brats as leads makes winning an audience over challenging, but it is worth sticking in to see their embarrassments. 'Alba' and 'Ben' hit that more innocent middle ground, where they can be enjoyed, buy only as supporting characters.

At times shocking, profane and gruesome, The Mick is a genuinely good show that deserved a longer life.
  • I hope this picked up by Netflix, Hulu, etc. This show is great. With all the other garbage out there that keeps getting episodes and this gets canceled. Make no sense.
  • Warning: Spoilers
Whatever you compare this show too, it still remains funny. Describing it as a mix between Uncle Buck and Sunny In Philly is kind of accurate. It's somewhere between PG-13 and the twisted Sunny In Philly material, but still tame enough not to offend.

Olson is very funny in her trashy and confused way. She is the leading force in this. The child actors are exceptionally well chosen. Good work by the casting director. Actually, all characters are lovable.

I've come to compare the American sitcoms past and present and I've come to the conclusion that Fox is the only production company that has been able to deliver in recent times. No matter how much I don't like Fox's political stance and the company's conservatism in relation to real life, when it comes to comedy, they're spot on. At least for me they are.

CBS used to do good comedy, but their writers/creators seem to have lost it right around the time Charlie Sheen got sacked from Two And A Half Men. ABC was never a contender and NBC has been struggling since the ending/cancellation of 30 Rock and Parks and Rec. To me, these two shows weren't that funny to begin with. And yeah, canned laughter should be a thing of the past. I think the average person is able to discern what's actually funny or not without being led.

Some episodes are hilarious throughout with genius moments. I'd like to see this renewed and I'd like for it to stay like this, which of course is close to impossible. Better to enjoy it while it lasts. For fans of slightly less twisted humour definitely worth a try. 7.1/10
  • I found this show by accident. I binged it with my children. We burned through two seasons. I'm super disappointed to see that it was cancelled! This show is smart and funny. Please bring this show back!!!!
  • Been watching this new "FOX" series called "The Mick" with Kaitlin Olson("It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia")and I must say it's a trip of fun and real nasty dirty blunt laughs the series is just really far out comedy. The story is pretty simple Olson is Mac Murphy a free spirited and wild party at heart girl who drives a rattle trap, yet her world is turned upside down when she arrives at her rich sister's house in the northeast and finds that her and her husband are gonna flee the country to avoid criminal charges. So you guessed it Mac and her male friend have to take care of the trio of kids that sister has left behind! It then becomes funny and a struggle of life lessons of fun, tricks, and crazy nasty gags that each play on each other! "The Mick" may not be everyone's cup of tea still it's a nice different kind of comedy laughs.
  • We've been looking for a new show and thought the premise of this show was promising. We liked the whole My Name is Earl vibe and we laughed at the first episode. But a few episodes in, there are no laughs, just depravity. Ted Lasso has sweetness. My Name is Earl had sweetness. Arrested Development had sweetness (at least season one). This show just has mess. The kids should be taken away. The aunt is a horrible person. She has no redeeming qualities at all. In fact, she's getting worse with each episode. Everything is stereotypical and over the top. We finally gave up and watched something else.
  • This was an amazingly well written comedy. Most comedies today are awful. As a matter of fact, I do not watch sitcoms at all with the exception of this show. It was hilarious. Each character was carefully developed. It pushed the envelope and stayed fresh week after week, but alas, it was cancelled. I would recommend watching the first two seasons. Enjoy.

I frequently struggle with US networks cancellation process. This is one of the best comedies out of the US in years. Kaitlin Olsen is brilliant as are the whole cast. Great writing too.

Best Sitcom Ever!!! I loved every episode of The Mick and for me this show has a Perfect Cast.
  • This is by far the funniest sitcom on TV. It's fresh, smart and hilarious. I fell hard for all of the characters. They are surprisingly well-rounded and beautifully played by the respective actors. The far- fetched-ness of the plot really fades into the background and the situation of the moment really cracks you up. It's not cute-sy like a lot of shows with kids tend to be. The themes are adult, but not crazy inappropriately so. The physical aspect of the humor contributes greatly to the fun.

    Warning: Spoilers
Can NBC buy The Mick show since they bought Brooklyn Nine Nice! It's a great show and funny, I don't understand why you had to cancel?
  • This was such a "missed opportunity" show! I love this show because of its story, its characters, its casting and especially, Olsen. But the holes in the writing make it frustrating to watch. An example.... if the kids parents were under investigation, all assets would be frozen. There's no way their "black cards" would work. So basically....it makes me feel like the writers ignored a lot of common sense in order to make a story....and they are much better than that so that's why I'm mad. This should've been a great show! It should've been Olsens time to shine for more dramatic moments, because I think she can do both.
  • I didn't know what to expect before watching it, but once I got started I pretty much binged the whole first season. It was hilarious, both Olson and D'Elia did a fantastic job, MacArthur's performance was also rock on.

It's a pity that Fox cancelled the show only after two seasons. Fox has a long history cancelling great shows (cough, Firefly, ... )
  • So far, so good.

Nice cast that complements each other. It's almost like having a supply teacher at school, you think you can get away with murder, until that teacher turns out to be street smart and equally as conniving. I recommend this!
  • Do you remember Married With Children and the Bundy family? Well this is just a re-hash of that old comedy series with a fresh twist that the main character Mackenzie Murphy (Kaitlin Olson) who is a wild child 30's something who in the pilot episode decides to visit her wealthy sister and brother-in-law and their three kids. No sooner does Mackenzie arrive at the estate home when her sister and brother-in- law are arrested and charged with fraud which leads them to pay the bond and quickly leave the country to avoid serious jail time. That leaves the hard drinking, foul mouthed Aunt Mackenzie to look after the two nephews and teenage niece until her sister can make it back home, if they ever decide to return that is.

So the story is about the obnoxious Aunt Mackenzie living like one of the original Beverly Hillbillies but acting like Peg Bundy but with oodles of money to back her up. Mackenzie befriends the overweight Spanish housemaid who goes along with any crazy scheme Mackenzie wants to attempt such as knocking out the nosy neighbor and the local community security guard.

If the first episode is the quality of comedy we can expect than I guess it will continue to gain a share of that type of audience that like scum humor and low class antics. Me? I give the series a 4 out of 10 rating with about just as much chance as lasting for the first 8 planned episodes.

How in the world did this show get cancelled! I adore Kaitlyn Olsen, and this show is amazing . Someone needs to pick this show up....Hulu, Netflix, or whattimeisitrightnow.com. I guess I will have to rewatch the show again.
